Also, if I may add you can change the saddle and other parts on most spin bikes to get them setup to your liking. The most important thing to look for on any studio bike is that the seat height, handlebar height and distance between the two can be properly set to the rider's needs. A bike that doesn't fit you is a bike that will not get ridden.

- check that the bike has adjustable bars and seat (nearly all of them do).

- make sure the bike is sturdy and that the base is not wobbly

- give it a spin to ensure it is smooth and free from play or flywheel wobble

- turn up the resistance to make sure it is sufficiently challenging for the rider, if not then look at another bike
