Thanks Peter!
Centry has decent looking gloves as well. I just worry about the sizing.

Re: The Dog Thread

My boys definitely smile! Its usually after we get in from a good run or a lot of playing, after they calm down they just stare at me with the backs of their mouths curled up. Its pretty funny. ...

Childrens Gloves?

Wondering the best place to find bag gloves for children?
They are 5, 8, and 13.
Checked Dicks, sports A, and walmart with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Keith

Re: Help stray dog find a home

Emily,
You're right! Last night I was thinking that I shouldn't think that he was neglected. We did check to see if he had been chipped but no luck. We put up signs locally, at the vet, and at...

Re: Help stray dog find a home

Thanks Emily,
We have posted at the humane society, craigslist, and petfinder.
We also contacted local rescues and put signs up at the vet.
We would like to find the owners but we also suspect...

Help stray dog find a home

I hope this is the right place for this, if not I appologize. I am posting this here(as well as other dog friendly sites) because this is a very friendly and caring community. Well, here's the...

Re: I live in an apartment

Andy is on the right track. I'd definitely add a sandbag. You can do just about any exercise or WOD that requires weight with one. If you're worried about dropping it buy a crash pad(for...

Re: CF with 50lb Sandbag

Henry hit the nail on the head, you can use the sandbag for any exercise that requires weight. You can also check out Zach Even-Esh I think at underground strength coach, he has a bunch of exercises...

Re: Dragging Stuff

I think the difference on pulling from the shoulders or across the waist comes down to comfort and breathing.
You can buy a deer drag harness at a sporting goods store(one that carries hunting...

Re: USAW Sports Performance Coach vs CSCS

I can't speak on the insurance qualifications but I do recall earlier this year Coach Rip wrote to NASM and denounced his CSCS title.
Maybe he would have a more appropriate answer to your question....

Re: Most Embarassing Crossfit Moments

I was helping several of my patients with proper form for certain movements.
It came time for push-ups and while I was demonstrating, my dog(the 75lber to the left) wrapped his legs around my neck...

Re: Client can't get past throwing up.

I think seeing a doctor is a good idea, but which kind?
I'm wondering if he has developed some kind psycho-somatic like response.
That maybe even to severe, since it has happened so much, he may...

Re: Double-jointed problems?!

I don't really understand why she can't lock out her elbows. Because she is double jointed I would think they would just lock at a bit of a different angle. Most gymnasts appear to be double...

Re: Pullup bar/ring mount in apartment hallway?

I didn't see Will's reply. I think his idea sounds good, especially the support brace in the middle.
Will, how would you measure the pipe to fit the flanges? It seems like you would have to...

Re: Pullup bar/ring mount in apartment hallway?

Matt,
As long as you can anchor the 2x4's into studs you should be stable. I think you would be better off cutting a groove into each 2x4(maybe use 2x6 and cut it down and back), and using a solid...

Re: Numbness in thigh area on right leg??

Inflamation and spasm can deffinitely cause irritation along the peripheral nerve/vasculature and give numbness. The main hip flexor attaches to the anterior body of the lower lumbars. This can...

Re: Need a little long distance help here.

I would try and contact Brian MacKenzie at Crossfit Newport Beach. He wrote a great article in one of last years journals about endurance training and I believe that he specializes in that field. ...

Re: The Perfect Pullup?

It just looks like a glorified expandable pullup bar.
You can probably get one for $20-30. If you want more security, look at the pictures of the mounts and make your own out of wood and screw them...

Re: Still suffering from Shin Splints

The splints are just above the ankle and below the bulge of my calf around the inner part of the bone. Tender to pressure and a little pinch while walking, they disappear when training.
