Re: recovering from rotator cuff surgery

At what point were you allowed to do more than just walk or ride the recumbent bike?

Re: recovering from rotator cuff surgery

I just had supraspinatus tendon repair and subacromial debridement on my left shoulder on 5 June 2014. I had tendinitis in this shoulder for more than 10 years and have had the same procedure done on...

Re: Primal Blueprint Supplements

I use "Primal Fuel" and love it. The vanilla creme mixed with unsweetened coconut milk (So Delicious brand) is wonderful.

Re: $40 per month, unlimited access, no training

I would pay for this optios as well. I have always liked working out alone or with one or two other people much better. I would also argue that with large groups, clients really don't get that much...

Re: Looking for evidence that kipping pullups do or do not cause shoulder injuries.

I tore my rotator cuff when I was learning to kip. I was able to do about 7 dead-hang pull-ups, so I thought it was time to kip. That was in 2008, and I have not and will not kip again.

Re: Bumper Plates irratating neighbor

Seems like your neighbor's noise restrictions are excessive. I have horse stall mats in my garage and haven't had any complaints. I don't drop my weights a whole lot yet though. I thought my music...

Re: My Rotator Cuff Injury

It didn't take 3 years to be pain free. I have been pain free for roughly 2 years. Because of my job and other life stuff, I haven't worked out regularly until the last 3 months since my injury.

Re: My Rotator Cuff Injury

Hi Heather. I think we had the same degree of injury--to most it's minor, but it's major to us because we can't do what we did before. I had surgery in February of 2008 after tearing my supraspinatus...

Re: What are you reading?

I'm reading The Winter of Our Discontent by John Steinbeck. I recently visited the Steinbeck Center in Salinas, CA, as well as Monterey, so I'm in a Steinbeck state of mind.

Re: I'm new to CF...need help

I agree with Shane. It's okay to program your own workouts or choose past ones that you know are easier to do at your gym.

Re: Are the website WODs getting really hard...

Yes, I believe they're more difficult. Having gotten injured and trying to work my way back into it regularly, I find myself a bit alienated from the main site WODs. I joined a CF gym but they use...

Re: I'm new to CF...need help

It's difficult to advise you on this when I don't know the layout of your globo gym. Does it have an indoor track, or do you have to jump on a treadmill to run? Does it have C2 rowers, pull up bars,...

Started Freedom by Jonathan Franzen last week. I chose it before Oprah, by the way. I'm 320 pages into it, and it's wonderful!

Re: What are you reading?

I have the whole series, so I guess I'll be moving on to the next volume. It's either that or Freedom by Jonathan Franzen, author of The Corrections.
