Re: Protocol/Proviction/Dick's Sporting Goods Sled review now for SALE

Bump, now selling my sled, I just don't use it anymore. I have too many new borns on my block and it makes too much noise pushing it on concrete/asphalt, and I don't have enough yard to push it on...

Re: Gave up soda and caffeine. Do I need to "make up" those calories with other foods?

"I know that soda contains "empty" calories. I am not 100% sure what that means other than that they are not good for anything."

Re: Eat To Perform

I'll add that eating to perform is not the same as eating to lose weight. Unless you are 1) very overweight or 2) completely new to weight training, it is very hard to keep making PRs and perform...

Re: Keurig Progenex

The idea of coffee is that you run water over the ground beans to infuse the flavor of the grounds in to the water without actually mixing the grounds into the water.

The idea of protein powder is...

Re: Diet check please

Cutting carbs dramatically might help with your body comp but you'll probably see a drop in performance as well.

If you've found no significant weight change at ~3200 calories, try dropping it by...

Re: Calories In, Calories Out

I'd only say you're half wrong.

I'm pontificating here so this is open to debate but it seems logical that:

Inadequate protein and no strength training will cause reduction in muscle. That...

Re: UnControlable hunger

I was confused since you said you are a food addict.

If you don't have any real eat disorders, make sure you're eating enough to meet your activity level, typically taking your body weight and...

Re: "paleo" - worth it or not?

Paleo is about food quality, not quantity.

You can get ripped eating marshmallows and gummy bears if you are in a deficit and train properly.

Re: Are you eating enough?

Re: Veg paleo/raw diet?

Nutrition and fitness plans should be tailored to your fitness goals.

How new to training are you?
Do you want to gain muscle?
Do you want to loose fat?

Re: Fats & losing weight

according to http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/fats-and-oils/508/2 (WFS)

coconut oil is only 1.8% omega 6.

I'd say that's pretty darn low.

Re: cheapest fish oil with most epa/dha

I've found the liquids are more cost effective than pills, but that reduces their portability if you travel, etc.

He's probably eating more than 1700 calories a day. There can be upwards of 50% more "hidden" calories in a block depending on your food selections. For example 1 block of olive oil is (1/3tbsp on...

Re: Wendler 5/3/1 Final Plan + Diet Questions

I'm going to boil this down to my own thoughts, take what you want from them.

2. Eating healthy is...

Re: protein calculation help

So yes cooked 16oz of ground turkey won't yield 16oz of cooked meat, you loose a lot of water weight and if it's...
