Re: Krav Maga

I take a Krav class at least 2x per week in conjunction with a regular CrossFit routine. This means, in essence, that two days per week I'm doing two conditioning sessions in a day. At 44, I've found...

Re: Snatching Around Shoulder Injuries

T-Nation has a good article on "rebuilding the shoulder (http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/8_weeks_to_monster_shoulders)" WFS that offers some really good...

Re: How long to develop good mobility?

If you spent many years getting into a "mobility mess" you can expect it take an equally long time to get out of it. And, to echo what Chris said above, you may never be able to totally undue some...

Re: What could make my upper and lower legs become misaligned?

Might be helpful, Bradley, to direct people to your many other posts on your issues. Not having to post your entire story, for those not familiar with it, would save you a lot of time. Here are...

How about the Pavel (WFS) "Fighter Pullup (http://www.kbnj.com/FighterPullupByPavel.htm)" program?

Re: shoulder flexibility

Hard to say what you need to work on without looking at your posture and where your form breaks down during overhead squats. Can't tell you the number of people I've seen who blame tight shoulders...

Re: Light headed during cleans

If you're getting lightheaded during the lift and then it quickly goes away, it's probably because you're breathing wrong. If you're taking a deep breath before the lift and holding it in you...

Re: Why won't anyone help me?

You seem to have been down every road in the diagnostic spectrum. Have you ever seriously considered this one?

Re: weight wendler

Benefit of the doubt...Maybe it's a detail lost or overlooked in the translation. Don't think Wendler offers an Italian edition of 5/3/1/.

10 pounds for lower body (deadlift, squat); five pounds for upper body (press, supine bench).

Re: Feedback on Crossfit/Wendler Hybrid

If you buy the 2nd edition of Wendler's book, he included a basic template for combining 5/3/1 and CrossFit style metabolic conditioning.

Re: What the eff do I do with it?

Another vote for farmer's walk handles. The EZ curl bars work good for that and you could probably find another one on craigslist for next to nothing.

Re: Upper Back/Rhomboid Chronic Pain

Sounds like it may be a trigger point with the location of the pain being in a common trigger point area caused by poor posture. Maintaining proper posture at a desk (or anywhere) for 80 percent of...

Re: Crossfit and poor sleep

Are you training in the evening? Intense exercise raises body temperature/heart rate and has an "alerting effect" that makes sleep difficult. I know a lot of people who train in the evening--anywhere...

What kind of replacement are you getting? The only one that I've ever heard of that gives active people the most mobility is Frederick Matsen's "ream and run" procedure. But I hear the recovery is a...
