Hey Girl. Did you know I like Crossfit?

So if you weren't aware, there's a whole meme (several, in fact) devoted to Ryan Gosling. Just Google 'Ryan Gosling Hey Girl' for plenty of other examples. The librarian ones are especially...

Re: CF Games 2011 General Thread

Anyone see any rules about feet/movement during the rope sled pull? It seems like a no brainer that it'd be easier to pull with your legs than with your arms. Everyone seems to finish their pull by...

Top Five for Each Workout (WS/FF)

I did something similar at work today while at lunch. I was at the NW Regionals this weekend, and after watching some of the workouts I was curious how fast people in other locales were getting them...

Re: Plyo Box Measurements????

Here's the plan for the 18" x 20" x 24" box I'm building. The top and bottom 20" x 24" pieces aren't in the pic so you can see the inside pieces.

Re: Jerk Blocks, Plyo Boxes and Chalk Stands, Oh My!

That gives me an awesome idea. I could make a really high end 12" plyo box made out of hardwood with swanky dovetail joints. Then you could turn it upside down and use it as a salad bowl.

Re: Jerk Blocks, Plyo Boxes and Chalk Stands, Oh My!

I've made a serviceable mini-jointer with my router table. I used a fence with a small cutout for the bit, and on one side of it put a couple of strips of UHMW adhesive strips. Then I tweaked the...

Re: Variable height plyo-box

I was thinking the same thing. I used Google Sketchup to design a box I think will work pretty well, and I got all my pieces cut last night. I should be able to assemble it tonight.

I decided to...

Re: Jerk Blocks, Plyo Boxes and Chalk Stands, Oh My!

They never would have happened if I hadn't read your article. I'd always looked at our plyo boxes at the gym and thought they'd be insanely hard to make because of the angles, but when I read your...

Jerk Blocks, Plyo Boxes and Chalk Stands, Oh My!

I've had a recent spree of do-it-yourselfism and cranked out a bunch of gear for our gym and I wanted to share some thoughts in case anyone else might be planning on heading down the same road...
