Re: Sports Illustrated's 50 Fittest Athletes

Really comical. Im curious as to how many people actually say, "yeah this list looks believable". Just seems like commons sense that some of these things dont match up.

How does Usain Bolt rank as...

Re: Games events

Didnt see that video yet, but last time they started on the beach Bridges killed it. I would expect a similar outcome if its any type of long workout in the sand.

Re: Games events

Any chance we could see an event with strict muscle ups in it? All these Games level athletes can bust out a ton of kipping muscle ups, but what about strict...I think that could humble a lot of...

Re: CrossFit is Suing the NSCA

Russell, its not 100 or more repetitions of a "sit-up", I believe he said a GHD sit-up....big difference. As someone who regularly debates with people regarding what those individuals have...

Re: CrossFit is not a sport

They don't need to be treated as employees at all. They would be independent contractors and given a 1099 and I believe HQ could deduct the compensation paid to them.

Way I see it, its a relatively...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Fair enough. I can see your point. I think others have covered it. He is more of a guy who has been there since the beginning and I guess sort of embodies what they want the games to be about. Again,...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Wow never heard anyone say Speal is overrated. What makes you say that? I think for a small guy who typically exceled in body weight events he has made leaps and bounds progress in strength over the...

Re: Great...so did I waste my time ?

Did you really lose that much over a few weeks? I am assuming studying for finals was only a few weeks. If that is the case I doubt you lost that much progress. Life gets in the way of working out...

Re: Sold small gym

Glad to hear it all worked out Brendan and it sounds like you were good and comfortable with the buyers and deal that was worked out.

I was curious only because I have only dealt with one "gym"...

Re: Sold small gym

Thanks for the explanation Brendan. Did you have any legal representation? I only ask because it sounds like everything the escrow company did is something that your attorney would handle. It...

Re: Crossfit and PGA Golfers

Hahahahaha, nice Alex. Yes luckily I can keep them in play.

That's always been the thing with golfers. They dont work out and you see a variety of body shapes out there. But hey I guess if you...

Re: Crossfit and PGA Golfers

I completely agree that if I was him and had a chance to win every week I would never engage in something like Crossfit for fear of injury (God I hope no one comes down on me for saying Crossfit can...

Re: Sold small gym

Brendan, quick question. You say you used an escrow agent so everything would be done right? Im curious what you mean by that and what the escrow was for? Was the entire purchase price put in...

Crossfit and PGA Golfers

Just saw this article about Rory McIlroy. There has to be more there, such as she convinced him chances of injury could hurt his golf game. No way another athlete would say "don't workout because...

Lopsided Medicine Ball

I inherited a 14 lb Dynamax ball that I believe was left out in the rain. It has been dried out but now seems heavier than 14lbs and is lopsided. Anyone have any tips on how to make it a bit more...

Re: Have we all seen this yet?

I would say you will see all the big names in this sooner or later. Many have already signed (e.g. Ken Leverich, Annie T., Dan Tyminski, Kaleena Ladeairous, Lindsey V.). My coach is the GM for the...

Re: Mentioning CrossFit in the interview process

I have never brought it up in an interview, but in my opinion, I probably would not bring up Crossfit in an interview unless a) the job was fitness related, b) they asked me what I enjoy doing...

Re: Garage gymers, how have you trained with an infant/toddler?

I would also love to hear other people's experience with this. My wife and I just had our first child a couple weeks ago. I clearly see that working out during the week will be next to impossible...
