Re: so, what did you have for dinner tonight?

I hate all of you.

Last night: white rice, tiny dry chicken breast in sauce, canned peaches. (all courtesy of Uncle Sam) Most of our rations can be considered paleo- cavemen ate ridiculous...

Re: Organic Eggs and Animal Abuse

That's because there are way too many people on the planet. The number of people is barely supportable by the mass industrialization of food production, and if you improve the 'terrible' conditions...

Re: Diseases of Affluence

Although the article was interesting, and brought up some good points, I think he's on the wrong track with the Afghans. As I see them (everyday here in Afghanistan) their apparent 'health' as...

Re: Best Combative Option for the Military

You're welcome. Just a personal belief of mine having seen both sides of the equation as a support type, grunt type and now a hybrid of a grunt in command of support types. Its perhaps more...

Re: Best Combative Option for the Military

I've been in a nasty place in Afghanistan right now and haven't heard of any in the six months since I've been here. Close-range stuff? Yes. Actual hand to hand? Not that I've heard. Even being a...

Re: How to eat clean without cleaning out your wallet

Another great source are hunters. A friend of mine is a hardcore bowhunter, and the result of his passion is meat that costs me nothing, and him enjoying his hobby (not to mention ridding the east...

Re: Progression and specialization in Crossfit?

Looking imposing and inspiring Marines has little to do with each other. Believe it or not, no matter how you look, there will be someone in better shape or who can beat you at something. Take care...

Re: should i do more then the WOD?

You have a long way to go before that's even an option. At this stage you aren't really fully aware of what each of those entails, or if you have what it takes to qualify- there is much more to that...

Re: What are you reading?

World War Z was great, Survial Guide not so much. Some other favorites in the zombie genre are two in the Day by Day Armageddon series (I love survival type books) and Ex-Heroes (a superhero/zombie...

Re: Vibrams and barefoot running?

Started wearing VFFs for light runs after WODs. Surface is sand/moondust/gravel. I've noticed a big change even after the first run- the pebbles didn't hurt so much anymore. That and my calves are...

Re: Heard in the Office Today
