any gymnastics school will have chalk in bulk. Most have enough to give you a little or at least sell you some. Used sparingly, one block of chalk will last you a long time.

I had to deal with the same issues, rehab-ing post knee surgery. Just make sure your form is pure, keep the loads managable, and you should even up fairly quickly. Best of luck.
