I noticed you are in Santa Monica. The Rubber Man offers a deal for Crossfitters and has a warehouse around Irvine. I think it is around 35 bucks for 4x8 3/4".

That thing looks sweet Noah. It's awesome the stuff you can get done once you find a good welder. I got my squat rack made and now I just keep coming up with other projects.

I remember seeing somewhere that instead of using a huge tire laying on its side you can use a regular sized tire, stand it up and mount it. It was somewhere on Ross Training.

If you already have some iron plates you might only need 45#, 25# and 10#s.
