Re: Have we all seen this yet?

I'm really curious about who is funding all of this. Renting out all of these 10,000+ seat venues has to be ridiculously expensive and they obviously aren't making the money back in ticket sales.

Re: Time to jump off that gluten free train...

I did which makes all of the arm chair analysis by people who didn't read it pretty entertaining.

The main thing that everyone seems to miss is that the study's authors take for granted that wheat...

Re: Gslp

Staying at the same weight never works for me. I'd personally either drop the weight a bit so I could get the recommended 10 reps or I'd just suck it up and keep adding weight as prescribed until I...

Re: Gslp

For me, it has always been running affecting the lifting and not the other way around.

Re: Crossfit bars and plates in Central Jersey?

I've ordered bars and a pair of 45 lb plates from MDUSA (http://www.muscledriverusa.com/ wfs) and they shipped these all UPS. You could try contacting them to see if the full plate sets also ship...

Re: Gslp

I would suggest following the 3-day template. The running that you described isn't going to interfere much with the lifts and you have some room to put on some strength so you'll benefit from the...

Seriously? Have you ever tried eating 3000kcal of healthy food versus junk food?

Re: CrossFit barbell comparasion sheet

I agree 100% based on owning a Pendlay bar and using Rogue bars elsewhere.

Another important data point is bar diameter. The Pendlay bar is the correct diameter for Olympic lifting but both Rogue...

Re: O-lifting: Too dangerous?

The problem with arguments like this is that they are confusing the sport with the movements. Olympic weightlifting as a sport tests the snatch and the clean and jerk but that does not mean that...

Re: Muscle Drive Stall Mats

Judging from your web site listing minimum order of $600, you don't serve the garage gym market. Is that correct?

Re: Question about CrossFit on The Biggest Loser show

Broadcasters don't like handing out millions of dollars worth of free advertising on their big audience prime time shows and the companies paying for advertising wouldn't be too happy to see their...

Re: wendler rest time

For the main lifts where the primary goal is strength, 3-5 minutes according to Wendler. For the warmup, you do not rest between sets -- just however long it takes to change the weight. For...

Re: Fats in pwo shake?

I do it Bulletproof Coffee inspired -- water + 2 scoops chocolate whey + a couple of shots of espresso + 1 tbsp grassfed butter (melted in the espresso) + 1 tbsp coconut (or MCT) oil. Works for me.

Re: Rogue's Incredible Customer Service

The worst case was basic questions about the Rogue Bar knurling. Funny that Bill mentions that as an example. I guess I'm not the only one who has encountered that. They just read off the web site...

Re: Rogue's Incredible Customer Service

Every time that I've contacted Rogue support in the past, they are completely clueless regarding basic questions about their products.

Re: OHP not increasing

If I am reading what you said correctly, you managed 5 reps at 150 for one set and then only 1 rep on the 2nd set? How long are you resting between sets? It is common to rest 5+ minutes between...

Re: High Bar vs. Low Bar Back Squats

Uh, you realize that barbells are a mechanism to move more weight? This is easy to prove. Find your 1RM for the overhead press with a pair of dumbbells and compare that to your 1RM with a barbell. ...

Re: falsifying wod times

Well, I personally don't care since I workout in my garage unless I'm travelling. For people who pay to go to a box, a big part of getting their money's worth is the group dynamic and cheaters crap...

Re: falsifying wod times

You can say that they are just cheating themselves and that you should just care about your own performance but a big part of doing CrossFit with a group is the group dynamic. Not only does it give...

Re: So who is "literally stealing money from Crossfitters" according to Juggernaut?

I read the article before it was taken down. It was just... bad.

I'm not a Rip fanboy and believe there are some valid criticisms of Rip out there but this article was just poorly researched and...

Re: Gslp

I took a quick look at your training log and it looks like your bench and press are a bit beyond Will's and mine. Where were you at when you stalled on GSLP? I would expect GSLP to stall out...

Re: Gslp

I switched from GSLP to 5/3/1 earlier this year for the same reason and found that it killed my presses. I would have been perfectly happy with the normal 5/3/1 monthly increases but instead my...
