Re: Clydesdale Men: Represent!

Can't complain about how simple it is. Doesn't suit the big boys very well, but so be it. Not doing the open this year because of an injured shoulder, but I doubt I could hit 100 on this one. Maybe...

Re: Clydesdale Men: Represent!

6'2" 220lb. Feel better at this weight, and a 405lb squat was a goal of mine for a long time which I just got. 4:12 Fran time, a few less rounds during Cindy, but love to clean heavy stuff. Like to...

Re: Austere CrossFitting

I too did this while away on courses and short deployments. Made a 100lb sandbag. Used it for any and all metcons I could. Nothin' is quite as fun as doing Grace with a 100lb sandbag.

Re: help with cutting fat

Add some meat to your bones and you will actually look leaner. I look alot better at 210lb then I did at 185lb, just sayin'. My wife thinks so too.

Re: diet while having a week off?

I would zone with single fat for the week, get lots of sleep and water. This is probably the most important time to eat clean if your feeling under recovered. One week isn't going to lose any...

Re: Making your own climbing rope for WOD

I hang it from my 8ft ceiling, sit on the ground, and climb legless kinda of in an L sit. I do this twice for every 15' rope climb in the WOD. Works for me and I kinda feel better knowing if I get...

Re: CFJ cheat meals

I just like to relax on a Saturday night and have a few beers while watching some hockey. And with the playoffs right around the corner it isn't going to slow down. I consider it as a reward to...

Re: CFJ cheat meals

The cheating is just a mental break from eating clean all week. If you can get away with a little grain, and not eating a tub of ice cream, all power to ya brother. Its not about eating as much as...

Re: 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 Split Jerks

Had to clean the bar for this so it ended up being clean and jerk workout. No racks at home. Oh well. Didn't really know where to start either so the first couple ended up being 3 Jerks.

Re: pacing yourself? or multiple failures?

Obviously for Murph there will be some resting involved, its a long workout. I break it into rounds of Cindy and go as fast as I can but I will eventually need to take a rest. But I'll use Fran as an...

Re: pacing yourself? or multiple failures?

According to OPT you shouldn't pace yourself during a WOD. Pacing to get a certain Angie time is alright for competition,(ie. Crossfit games) but during a WOD hit it as hard as you can. It may take...
