Re: Straight barbell curls

Chest is BILLIONS of times more important than arms. And if their arms are disproportionately large compared to their chest...barf. A nice posterior chain is also important ;)

Re: Helping a Friend Get Into Shape

CFFB goes REALLY heavy and uses a lot of 1RM percentages, so unless she's already had a lot of experience with lifting and is already incredibly strong...I wouldn't even try. Drastically scaling the...

Re: Where's the Girl Power?

Nora, I've been doing this a year and there are plenty of runs I can't do running so don't feel bad :D

Your body just has to adjust, you'll be gazelle-ing it up in no time.

Re: Where's the Girl Power?

Doing the main site WOD today because it has my name written ALL. OVER. IT.

Overhead squat 1-1-1-1-1 reps
Front squat 1-1-1-1-1 reps
Back squat 1-1-1-1-1 reps

Think I'll be able to PR my OHS....

I love Dave Lipson, definitely the bigger guys. And I root for Thorisdottir because she's at my height and weight and I'm a narcissist :p

Re: METCONS: How long is too long?

My biggest issue is that I stop giving a crap after 10 minutes, haha. I like 'em short and sweet. But I also want to shoot myself in the head running anything more than 200m so

Re: How to get your spouse on board?

A guy I liked once told me, "I don't think I can love anyone that can't do planche."

I turned the tables on him with, "I can't love anyone that doesn't have a 500lb deadlift."

Re: 500m Row Times

Re: 500m Row Times

1:47, damper @ 3-4.

I think Fran is worse. Much, much worse. I've done 1000mx5 rowing sprints and I'd still pick that over Fran.
