Re: Bring Sally Up

We did it yesterday in the class. I used 155# and the last rep was really the last rep. For a minute after I was almost completely deaf.

Re: Mobility WOD

Mark, although not done in a group I had no problem to fill out 90 min moobility sessions during my last week off. I would go to MobilityWOD website pick a couple of areas to work on and you should...

Last time I did Fran all out 2 years ago: 2:19.

Re: Does anyone use the Cube Method or Block Periodization?

Ever since the Open competition has been introduced most people do shift their focus in training through the year. Typically starting Aug-Dec strength and O.lifts would be the primary focus with...

Re: Ryan Fisher vs. Dave Castro

What about bouncing O.lifts? If you watch 2011 games you will see rediculously bouncing cleans. There are some very good and easy to implement points in online judging course how to identify...

Re: Does anyone use the Cube Method or Block Periodization?

Glenn, here is what I think. Over 6 years that I have been doing CF I tried many different methods. For me personally 5-3-1 works the best at this point. Programming is very simple and works very...

Re: Ryan Fisher vs. Dave Castro

I think this kind of aggressive behavior would be completely unimaginable just a couple of years ago in our sport. CF has been a special community for a long time and to me it will always be. I met...

Re: After the open

I think it is OK and even good to have emotions about any workout and competition even more so. That's what gives us motivation to improve. And how can anyone not have emotions about their...

Re: A Bears Tale

It is much better than previous score you got! you came very close.
I like the way CF Games site put it Khalipa finished C2B Fran in 3:56 to claim the title. This 90 reps were a bit harder than that...

Re: A Bears Tale

Hey Scott! Long time. I was looking at your score on leaderboard. Very nice performance in the Open this year. I had some nasty flue 1st week of the open and just more or less recovered. I did 13.5...

Re: 2013 Open, Regionals and Games Thread

Matthew, did you use alternate grip for C2B? The same you would use for DL.
I did not feel it at all in my forearms. 85 is very-very close!
My buddy did it in the morning, got 82 then flew off the...

Re: Crossfit Games Regionals for Masters?

About the logistical challenge of regional competition for Masters. Masters up to 55 yo can be added to Individual heats instead of creating a new heat just for them and keep workouts identical in...

Re: 2013 Open, Regionals and Games Thread

definitley not :D I took 50 min to work on shoulders and hips mobility. You would want bouncing off the bottom and good position vertical thrusters. For PU you would want a bit wider than regular PU...

Re: 2013 Open, Regionals and Games Thread

Whoever said earlier that 13.5 90 reps in 4 min can be done easily without butterfly kip was absolutely right!
I just got 129 reps all C2B regular kip. All thrusters unbroken and all C2B 5-5-5...

Re: 2013 Open, Regionals and Games Thread

From what I have read until now it sounds that unless unless you are 100% sure you can do 90 reps in around 3:30 there is very little margin for error. Fran time does not seem to have a good...

Re: 13.4 strategy

I did it today and got 94 reps. I think 100 should not be difficult to achieve. My strategy was to pace C&J as much as possible and dump the bar from rep one. T2B on the other hand keep unbroken and...

Re: 13.2 AMRAP tips and strategy.

I had flue two times during last 4 weeks and did not do any metcons during all this time. So Box jumps were out of question, tried them yesterday and gassed after 10. So I did 13.2 stepping up and...
