Re: Did I miss the boat with Pendlay???

There's a seller in NC who apparently bought a bunch of the Pendlay stuff when they were liquidating. You could try contacting them if you're looking for matching plates...

(WFS)...

Re: Flat soled training shoes

Puma suedes can be picked up from Amazon for as little as $30 a pair, depending on your size and color preference.

Re: Recommend permanent marker for engraving name on rubber bumper plates

I don't think there's anything you can apply to the surface of a bumper plate that won't rub off eventually. Have you thought about just burning/melting your initials into them with a soldering iron...

Re: Do not order from therepublicofsport.ca. They are a scam.

This^^^

I don't bother chasing after my stuff anymore. If it's not here within a couple days of its expected due date, I'll try to contact the vendor...but I'm only going to try a couple times...

Re: Rogue crossfit game bumpers

I don't see what the big deal is. Based on what I'm seeing, new 45 comp plates are $245/pr and ones from the games are $115 each, or $230/pr.

Personally, I'd expect a much better deal on what...

Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

That may be true for you, but it's not true for everyone. I've owned numerous bars over the years from York, Quest, Lynx, Cap, Sorinex, Hampton, etc. and haven't noticed a difference between those...

Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

It was originally used for one-handed olympic lifts (one handed snatches) many decades ago, but has remained in use because some folks believe it helps the bar stay in place during squats.

Re: Excellent Service Again from Rogue

1) It's a simple snap-ring assembly, and tutorials are available on youtube for the folks who need a walk-through.

2) I'm not worried about a warranty on a $300 barbell. It's a consumable...

Re: Excellent Service Again from Rogue

Great service, but I would've just popped the sleeve off and fished the debris out of it. No point shipping a new bar for something that you could've taken care of yourself in about 5 minutes.

There is a Wright HD bar that has (or had) similar end caps and construction.

Re: Be aware of American Aggression

I can understand being unhappy with his [poorly worded] response, but he does make a valid point. Any coating, vinyl, uhmw, etc. that is applied to a set of bar hooks is considered a wear (not...

Re: Bench press bench

It's not just a typical 0-90 bench. The seat slides to the rear as the back is raised, which makes it work better in shallow power racks than most ladder-style benches. It's also a very short bench...

Re: Power Rack Rehab

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. I just measured mine and it's right at 17.25" to the top of the seat, uncompressed. The low seat height was one of the main reasons I bought it.

Re: Power Rack Rehab

That appears to be the Nautilus NT1010. I have one like it but in grey instead of white. I'm pretty sure it's out of production now, but you should be able to find a new Lamar LS512 or Body Solid...

Re: Power Rack Rehab

If you do decide to have it sandblasted, check with your local headstone/grave marker makers to see if they do it.

I used to dabble in custom motorcycles (choppers mostly), and had a local...

They should be fully tightened, and the sleeves should still spin freely.

Re: Shipping, who do you use?

I've used Forward Air in the past to ship and receive motorcycle engines with good results. The shipper would be responsible for crating and delivering the item to the FA drop-off location at (or...

Re: homemade safety squat bar

I have shoulder issues that prevent me from getting a "proper" grip on a barbell during squats, so I welded up a set of 12" handles out of 3/4" black pipe and some 1/2" angle iron a while back. I can...

Re: Merrell Trail Glove - FS

They ought to fit in a medium USPS flat-rate box, so it should be ~$13 plus whatever tracking/insurance you might want to add.

Re: Rogue S-2 for sale

Prices seem fair to me, but you'd probably have a lot more interest if you added some pics to your listing. We all know how to use Google, but people are lazy by nature, and the easier you can make...
