Re: ketogenics vs. low-carb

It was fun because of the weekends but I think refeeds/cho loads need to be more structured than what is offered in the AD. I am a fan of the set-up but I think the cal recommendations are too high...

I tried the AD/MD as rx'd and I got fat. There are better low cho options out there. You may want...

Re: Orthorexia - an eating disorder for those who eat healthy.

Haha! I always tell them I CAN eat whatever I want I just choose not to eat that. I also tell them "I'm not a martian, I can eat real food"

Re: Eatsmart Nutrition Scale - yay or nay?

I just use a digital food scale from walmart. $10 and it works fine. $75 seems like a lot for a food scale.

Re: Animal Protein vs. Plant Protein

If you are eating complete PRO or combining incomplete PRO to create complete PRO I don't see where the problem would be. Being vegan and Paleo would probably make it more difficult. I believe soy,...

Re: Carb Intake

But it doesn't seem that he wants to eliminate them because he is consdering ice cream as an alternative to his "bad CHOs". I think it's funny that potatoes, pasta and bread are "bad" but ice cream...

Re: Carb Intake

Why do you think these are bad? because of the GI? If so the fat in olive oil lowers GI of the potato, the fat in the salmon does the same thing to the pasta, fat in the ice cream. CHOs are not...

Re: controversial of course

If you are following CF WODS as rx'd and that all the training you are doing then you're losing strength because you are not going heavy enough often enough. I would track calories rather than...

Re: Question about "Murph"

I've done it 2x straight sets took just under an hour and Cindy style and it took 32 mins. I do agree that you lose some of the metcon as a result of muscle fatigue

Re: Question about "Murph"

OK you are right I am wrong BUT was that always there? I still think if you do it Cindy style it should be noted. Because straight sets are much harder!

Re: Question about "Murph"

:)

I think if you do it Cindy style you are not doing it as Rx'd. If there no difference do straight sets. If you start the push-ups before you are done the pull-ups I think it should be noted. ...

Re: Lyle MacDonald on insulin control/Taubes

Once the glycogen stores are depleted and a caloric decifict is present you body mobilizes BF to be used as fuel.
