I'm trying to do more running these days, but still building up distance. i'm familiar with silver lake trail, was just out there a couple weeks ago (on one of the few days it has been dry enough)...

It's EMT (electrical conduit) and 2" PVC with fittings. I used 2" PVC to 1/2" pipe thread reducers and a 2" PVC coupler on each side. I slid the EMT through the hole in the reducer all the way...

hit up the local carpet stores for carpet pad scraps. you aren't going to get anything very big, but you can tear them all into smaller pieces and stuff them into something. we had some crashmats...

You could have broken up your set of 1000 back extensions into 10 sets of 100 with 1 day "rest" in between sets. If you chose to do them straight...

i think wood would make me nervous, especially outside. ive seen too many 2x split along the grain or around fasteners under far less stress.

before i used wood i would just drill a slightly...

or buy some J-hooks, cut off the part that wraps around the post and drill holes in your 6x6 that you could stick the pin on the back of the j-hook into and then drill a hole to stick in a lag bolt...

if it was me I think i might find a fabricator or supplier that had something like 6" x 2" x 1/4" box tubing (or similar size) and have them cut me a 5-1/2" length of it.

should be cheap or free...

110428 - Harbor Island San Diego

ran intervals for 3 miles, sprinting between palm trees.... the route looked out over San Diego Harbor and some sailboats in the marina... I love San Diego :)
