does your garage have much of a slope? I needed to build a platform so I could shim & level it otherwise the bar would roll right out the door (1" drop over every 8 feet)!

if you're doing this just for plate storage...i'd opt for 3/4" pipe & flanges. It's *a lot* cheaper. A 12" pipe nipple (1.5") and floor flange is about ~$18. That adds up pretty quick.

Ryan - from what I have found online...I can only assume these bumpers should/would be like the old "MHTY" or "Mavrik" brand bumpers. which as I understand were really nice bumpers that fell in...

I'm not a frabicator, but I would imagine that steel stock for fabrication comes in different alloy...

Hey all, just wanted to share a few pieces of home-brewed equipment I've made over the past week or so.

Farmer's walk implements
Materials:
10' of 1.5" black pipe
2' of 1" black pipe
piece of 3/8"...

Lay on the abmat and using a strap of webbing or a blue band, towel, etc. loop it around your foot and with a slightly bent knee pull...

I'm not sure if the bars are bent, or if the bushing has a flat spot in it...

I have 2 pendlay men's training bars...and on both bars the ends don't spin perfectly circular. the ends spin in what i'll call an egg...
