Re: Article: Vibram FiveFingers and Weight Training

Weird looking for a power lifter. I wonder what his total is.

I feel that converse all stars give me more foot protection and stability in the squat rack that vibrams.

I've run in vibrams for...

Re: North Carolina Fitness Challenge

Haha, nice. Looks like mostly lifting? I would check this out, but I have to play a sport (rugby 7s).

I bet that last WOD will be a sandbag haul or a 7k or something.

Re: Mainpage or ?

Joey. Bubby. What position, winger? Unless you are playing sevens or you just run a 4.5s 40, 155 is just too light. I love 155lb wingers.

Just eat and lift. As little cardio as possible, but...

Re: Video: Mike Boyle teaches an awkward hang snatch

ding. ding. ding.

Allow me to go through countless youtube videos of "elite" crossfit athletes doing WOD's and start criticizing form.

Re: Main Page Programming

A guy at my rock gym, don, says that 1 arm pullups have little efficacy in training for climbing (he's a mid 13 climber).

Not 2 arms 1 hand, not grabbing your wrist. 1 hand only.

A few climbers...

Re: Crossfit + Gomad

Excellent (if you're a creatine responder). Just follow the "paleo/zone/gomad" diet and eat 6000 calories a day. Welcome to the dark side.:smiley_ev

Re: Crossfit + Gomad

Kessler if you want to get as strong as possible follow this procedure:

1. do zero cardio
2. eat everything not tied down
3. believe in SS, 5/3/1, et al.

This my plan to hit 500+ on deadlift. I...

Re: Rogue Parallettes!

Yea I've made a lot of equipment with the help of crossfit members. PVC rings, paralettes, weight vest, even used some old wheels and tires for bumper plates.

The only thing I made that was useless...

Re: Rogue Parallettes!

who is shattering schedule 40 inch and a quarter paralettes?

I'm dubious.

My paralettes cost 5 dollars to make. They are over 2 years old. If I shatter em I'll make some more.

Re: What is the Zone?

We've determined I'm a moran already. I misspelled moran on purpose, just to clarify.

Re: What is the Zone?

I went back and ran your fancy calorie conversion. My typical cutting macro is

high 60's fat/ low 30's protein/ ...2% carbs. Thank you for helping me with math.

Again sorry for being a n00b. ...

Re: What is the Zone?

That too. I prefer to keep my clothes on during the WOD and shed them for the avatar shot. This way the universe is still in nudity balance.

You win. I'm stupid. You're smart. I was wrong. You were right. You're the best. I'm the worst.... You're very good-looking.... I'm not attractive.

Re: What is the Zone?

I have been embarrassed by a Geordie.

Forgive me won't you? My knowledge of nutrition conversions is very limited.

If anyone needs me, I'll be deadlifting and eating ice cream. Also, I'll be...

Re: What is the Zone?

Nick, dude was talking about 65 PERCENT. Maybe he misspoke (typed).

I like high fat diets, so I was very intrigued. This was my fundamental flaw.

Re: What is the Zone?

Bro. If you ate 1 pound of chicken or 50 pounds of chicken your macro would be the same. 10% fat, 0% carbs, 90% protein. If you ate chicken all day, you would never get up to 60% fat.

Re: What is the Zone?

65-75 grams maybe. You don't get to subtract the protein from your chicken, pork etc. You're macro looks more like 65%fat/20%carbs/200% protein.

This is > 100%. While what you have is a good...

Re: What is the Zone?

Do tell. Out of curiosity, what do you eat? To my knowledge no food has a 3:1 fat to carb ratio. I mean, sunbutter is 2:1 so you'd have to eat animal fat to hit the macro. Surely it can be done...

Re: What is the Zone?

Oh sweet jesus. Now that is a motivating macro. 20%C/15%P/65%F. To hit that I would likely have to supplement with Crisco.
