Re: Opinions sought about lag thread eye bolt disclaimers for human weight bearing

http://www.midstatesbolt.com/ (WFS) should be able to get anything you need there.

Re: Opinions sought about lag thread eye bolt disclaimers for human weight bearing

According to ASME, there is absolutely no doubt as to what to use. Anything used in overhead lifting has to be Grade 8 or better. If it's for personal use that's your choice. But if I have people...

Re: shameless plug for facebook friends

One's Facebook experience is incomplete without having Stephanie and Tamara as friends. Also, shameless plugs for facebook friends.

Re: Choosing the Best Equipment Vendors

Glenn is a stand up guy. I came to this board 6 months or so asking the CrossFit people what their opinion was on bars... Glenn came in and dropped the knowledge and I'd never purchase a bar from...

Re: Corner mount chin up bar

Not all pipe is threaded the same length from the end. The more thread, obviously, the weaker the pipe. I've seen pipe snap on the threads. Stick to welded pipe for anything overhead. I wouldn't be...

Re: Do Win Rouge fit?

Louis:

They run wide so I would go with your current shoe tennis shoe size. If they don't fit just send them back to us and we will ship you a new pair!

Thanks,

Bill

Re: ROGUE HG Bumper Plates

In your other post, you stated that you had a Hi-Temp that was 12% off. That's my argument as to why HG's are better, if only marginally. If something isn't somewhat accurate, I don't particularly...

Re: ROGUE HG Bumper Plates

I have the HG bumpers and I love them to death. I don't foresee the need for any other plates than these anytime soon.

Re: Help with Garage Gym construction.

I'm a weldor. I've done all kinds of stuff from sheet metal lawn mower decks to 4" thick, back gouged columns buried in the Michigan Stadium expansion.

Re: Should I make of buy rack safety pins?

I get 1" Solid Round bar for $2/ft. That's pretty cheap.

Re: Should I make of buy rack safety pins?

If you indeed have slots than it will be much more difficult to fabricate. What I'd suggest you do is decide where you want your holes to be and drill them on the SIDE to fit a 3/4" pin. Then have a...

Re: Should I make of buy rack safety pins?

I disagree with this. If you want to sink a couple 13/16" or 1-1/16" holes for 3/4" or 1" rod you will be fine. It's ego that makes us want our racks to be built so strong, unless it's for commercial...

Re: Problems with yukon GHD

I believe this little gem speaks for itself. I don't feel that communicating with you on this matter any further is of any use.

Re: Wood vs Steel

Steel is also expensive. I am a weldor and fabricator and I was going ot make my own power rack. I got a quote from work and the materials alone were gonna cost about 1/2 of what a new power rack...
