Just about anything along the lines of under armour works well in garrison, although after seeing pictures of Under-Armour and other synthetic performance materials melted into the wounds of wounded...

Re: seen at the local affiliate today

He could be the affiliate's "House Band." Did he look like Spicy McHaggis from DKM? I've thought about trying to incorporate my guitar into a WOD. Something like after finishing FGB trying to play a...

Re: Crossfit at home?

Yes, um..it sucks. It sucks when it is 100+ degrees too, but I prefer 100 degrees to 30 degrees. I'm solar powered.

Also, we have an affiliate on base that I used to help instruct at. It has set...

Re: Supplementing Strength Ideas

Rippetoe's Starting Strength worked great for me to build back capacity after I was recovering from SLAP tear surgery. I would do swim drills from CFE on the off days, but you could easily do a...

Re: Building your own Box/Plyo Jump

Just like Allton Brown, I don't like uni-taskers. So I decided to add on an extra feature to allow my plyo-box to do more than just do box jumps. The construction is pretty straight fwd. Just some...

Re: Who are the coolest dudes ever?

Watching the Blind Swordsman made me one day want to take Ken-Jitsu. Plus, he had a really good heart. I mean, one second he's clothing and feeding an orphan infant and the next second he slicing...

Re: Military says You’re Too Flabby For CrossFit

The main gym on Cherry Point now has a couple sets of 10, 25, and 45lb High-Temp bumpers and varrious sized KB. It makes me crazy though to see people pulling benches and stuff over into that area to...

Re: Military says You’re Too Flabby For CrossFit

Re: Military says You’re Too Flabby For CrossFit
