Re: GSLP 2nd edition

Certainly. I actually did 5/3/1 for 8 months, but I didn't specifically say in the video for that program. I liked 5/3/1 a good bit, but after about 4 or 5 months it wasn't presenting enough stress...

Re: Gslp

Ive done quite a few programs now for pretty significant amounts of time, and so far GSLP is the most well thought out program I've done. S.S. is a great program, especially to get the ball rolling I...

Re: Form check for SS - Squat

I agree with Robert. You need to do GOMAD, forget about abs or whatever you are worrying about unless you have a very specific reason for staying around 170. I promise you without eating tons of food...

Re: Strange foot pain.

Good stuff Steven, Ill start including the PNF stretching and some soft tissue work and see how it goes. I have vibrams but I don't wear them a ton, do you think wearing them more often may help ?

Re: What's your desktop?

Mine is Rob Orlando climbing the rope from the CF games this year... That probably makes me weird or something, but I don't care, the guy is like a modern day Hercules.

Re: Oh no not another size gainer......

I have personally done this for 4 months, and while it worked for me, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. If you are actually doing all of the lifts from SS, and then hitting a WOD hard, after a...

Re: Ideal body fat % for CF athletes?

Why are you subtracting 12.5 pounds of bone from your lean mass gain ? Did you gain 12.5 pounds of bone in that time as well ? You must have the thickest bones in the world then.

Re: Ideal body fat % for CF athletes?

Re: Ideal body fat % for CF athletes?

It hasn't been proven with a DXA scan as far as I know. It really isnt all that important though. You can talk to so many people, Crossfit coaches and strength coaches that have put underweight males...

Re: Ideal body fat % for CF athletes?

That is blatantly false, none of the top 3 finishers in any of the CF Games has been below 8%, Chris Spealler might be 8%, but i doubt it, he looks more like 9 or 10%. You can only go with the...

He also says in the video "The false grip is not for beginners, it is for advanced lifters". Seeing as probably no one here is an advanced lifter, atleast the vast majority of us aren't, it is...

Re: Triceps

Would you like to enlighten us as to what a proper false grip is ? Video would be nice. Should probably keep the false gripping for the rings.

Re: Triceps

I would not advise a "false grip" bench press, this increases the chance of the bar falling on your throat and possibly killing you.

Just ask this guy

Re: Organic Grass Fed 2% or Regular Whole Milk?

If you are drinking the milk to get bigger and stronger, than just make sure your drinking enough of it. Probably at least half a gallon, better to just drink the gallon. I would go with the whole...

If a pistol...

Im really upset with this years games. The athletes did a great job and all, and alot of the WOD"S were brutal, I did Helen on steroids with them as they did it.

But I must say I'm extremely...
