I like to translate my exhalations into a good deal of grunting and guttural screaming. I try to mix in a fair bit of spit as well, if my spotter is a particularly large arse.

Seems to me that it would be easier to not eat the calories rather than expect to burn them off with exercise. That said, starving yourself is even worse... though that seems to be the accepted diet...

Awesome! I, too, messed something up in my lower back/hip region. It's on the mend but it put me out for a few weeks.

I'm also leaving for Navy boot camp in three weeks and am pretty confident...

Aside from the diet concerns Eric presented --

I'd recommend taking one of the 5 lifts you propose doing on Saturdays and do one of them each day before a WOD. Or wait several hours...

A friend of mine (the person who I first heard about CF from) was just hired as a trainer at our local globo-ish gym (small town, not really a globo... you're allowed to deadlift!)....

Do you have someone to show you proper form for O-Lifts? Good technique is far more important than frequency.
