Re: Any way to increase walking gait?

Luke, congratulations on your progress! I'm a reformed runner turned walker; I would strongly recommend purchasing the book "Walking" by Casey Meyers...it's an awesome "walker's bible."

Re: CrossFit - Reekbok Apparel...

Jamie, I think all affiliates will need to do more than think about this. The RBK/CF partnership will bring many positive changes to both entities, but many people will be forced to face the most...

Re: CrossFit - Reekbok Apparel...

In the past, I enjoyed ordering cool trendy hip t-shirts from Cafepress and specialty shops. However, now that I live in the Florida panhandle and deal with Africa Hot every day during the summer...

Re: Military PT - What WOD would you do?

This is an awesome template. For the BW WOD, here's an idea I used in a bootcamp class with soldiers to great acclaim :):

Each person has their own personal WOD, based on however many rounds...

Re: What event(s) would you like to see in the 2011 games?

Absolutely. 5km.

Also, a 10km bike race with (properly fitted) single-speed track bikes with 39x15 gearing at the HDC velodrome. The discomfort, pain, and physical exertion would be...

Re: substitution for swimming

Agree. I think the closest you can get to subbing for a swim is to do the Pilates move "swimming" on a bench (not the "--press" kind, but the adjustable ones that are popular with dumbbell workouts)....

Re: Legal issue or otherwise?

Since you seem to genuinely care about your friend but you're hearing only one side of the story, here's an idea: ask your friend for her trainer's number and schedule an introductory session with...

Re: What event(s) would you like to see in the 2011 games?

How about something like, line the competitors up on starting blocks on a standard 1/4-mile and the contest is to run as far as possible in 75 seconds? Whoever has the farthest distance at the end...

Re: What event(s) would you like to see in the 2011 games?

I'd like to see a "classic" athletic contest, like a 100-meter run...with a CF twist...

Here we go...24" box jumps, but...each competitor jumps up, lands on top of the box, jumps down on the other...

Re: Stop Injuriing human bodies

I don't think the OP is a troll because she took the effort to establish an account with the company. My guesses are Elizabeth is:

(1) A plant from HQ CF to see who are loyal, or
(2) An agent...

Re: Tips for running marathon with no LSD training?

Spencer, I think you should go ahead and do it. Why? Contrary to what it may sound like I'm doing (perhaps baiting a CFer towards an epic fail), I like your attitude. You have a good baseline of GPP...
