Re: Anyone competed 40/45/50+?

Trust me, though it doesn't seem so, 40+ is lightyears away from 50+. It's all about recovery time. Masters needs to stay at 50+. Maybe a Silvers/Seniors at 65+ in the future.

Re: Fish Oil Calculator

Great. Robb's/Melissa's stuff really helpful. I'll need to bookmark that page because as I chase the "sales" online, I end up with different brands or dosages.

One point of curiosity, though. ...

Re: Hex Bar Deadlift

Hex bar trap bar deadlifts end up being part deadlift and part squat. As long as you know that.

Re: Taking a week off ...

If you think your body may need one week off.... take TWO weeks off. You will lose nothing from the rest and will prevent who knows what.

Week one: Nothing. Stretch, roll, massage, jacuzzi,...

Re: Working while standing.

I'm an elem teacher and therefore mostly on my feet, and mostly moving around the room. I find that when I sit most of the day (conferencing with kids or meetings), my hips don't feel good if I try...

Re: Protein Powder while eating paleo.

Noah, before you make a decision, look into Needle Aponeurotomy.

Re: Un-Balanced Upper Leg Muscles

Though there is some disagreement on whether you can actively engage and strengthen the VMO apart from the entire quad, I have found one exercise that actually does indeed do a good job...

Re: Hot tub right after working out or eating

I like doing the contrast thing by jumping from hottub into freezing cold pool. Back and forth a few times. Winter makes it easy.

Re: Load of grass-fed beef

No, I think you actually need to cook it less. Double-check on that. Plus add butter, olive oil, and/or coconut oil slathered on to add moisture.

I like inverted rows too. Not sure about them being non-functional. I completely disagree with that.

Re: Swimming Metcon

Periodically, I'll warm up and then swim sprint intervals.

25m swim
20sec rest
