Re: Gslp

So I started this program on Monday and it felt pretty good. I read the entire thread a few weeks ago at SV, and posted a few questions, but haven't got any answers yet. So maybe someone can help...

Re: Blending Met-cons and GSLP, how to do it

I am confused. This spread sheet has any where from 3-5 warm-ups sets per exercise, 2 working sets, and 1 5+ working set (thats like 8 sets per exercise)? I thought it was just 3 sets per exercise,...

Re: 60 Minutes segment on sugar

Really good video. 60 oz. of soda isn't really that much for a lot of people. You would be surprised. And 25% of total caloric intake isn't a stretch either; there are some pretty horrible diets...

Re: Gslp

^Much appreciated! Yeah I want to eventually buy the books, but I am pretty strapped right now (grad student). I read through the entire thread yesterday and saw that he has a specific diet protocol...

Re: low fat avacado??

^What Daniel said. Since I pretty much eat at least 1 avocado a day I figured I would give them a try, but wasn't impressed. They did actually taste like a watered down avocado. I would pass.

Re: supplements w/ artificial sweeteners

Yeah I agree they are in EVERYTHING. The only one that I will use from time to time is stevia (kind of a natural one). I just look at them as chemicals because that is what they are. Are chemicals...

I'm wondering if anyone has a link or a .pdf of a list of fruits and veggies based on their glycemic index? A list of just fruits and just veggies would be awesome, but if anyone has a list of them...

Re: Fish Oil Quality v. Price

Keep in mind all fish oils are not the same quality due to manufacturing processes and starting material. I have always stuck with Barleans Fresh Catch. It is the only brand that I am aware of that...

Re: Oatmeal add ins?

I keep it pretty simple. A small Fuji apple and a ton of cinnamon. Or a banana. Or I went super sweet yesterday and added in some dried dates. So good! Peaches are really good too, pretty much...

Re: Eat real food without going broke or being chained to the stove: a case study

Great post Katherine! One item I have been living by is my vegetable steamer. I found out it takes way less time to cook veggies this way and is way healthier (less nutrient loss during cooking). I...

Re: Does a Paleo diet really enhance athletic performance?

I've been doing some research on specifically grains and legumes, and it seems that phytic acid is one of the main reasons why some exclude it from their diet. I just started looking into phytic...
