Re: Need programming help

Yes, under the fitness tab. What I did was go back in time and build weeks for her using past WODs, skipping those I know she can't do or we don't have the equipment for. Pull up the Fitness blog and...

Re: Golfers elbow

Funny you say that as it has already become a shoulder/wrist issue!

Re: Golfers elbow

I have it pretty bad in my left elbow. So bad, I went to a doctor and had an MRI as I thought something else must be wrong. The MRI revealed a slight hole in a ligament he said was not a result of...

Re: Chronic problems with right arm/elbow

I just went to see someone yesterday for the same issue in my left arm. After an exam and x-rays, he determined it was "tennis elbow." Gave me a cortisone shot and I bought an arm band. Hopefully...

Re: 10 min Row vs. 10 min Airyne ?

My bad, I thought you meant comparing progress. I've never rowed 10 min for cals so can't help with that.

Re: 10 min Row vs. 10 min Airyne ?

I did 10 min on the AD for cals in early March-159.

Just repeated it this week and got 181.

Re: Is my Power Clean correct?

Bar path looks good. Here is what I see:

Shoulders are behind the bar when you're in the hang position. Get those shoulders over/in front of the bar.

Turnover is slow. Work on fast elbows and...

Re: Achilles Tendonopathy / Achilles Tendon Rupture

Ouch! I do wish you a speedy recovery. I know it can be very frustrating recovering from injury and being limited in what you can do.

I'm 43 and have pretty much stopped rebounding box jumps. It...

Re: Achilles Tendonopathy / Achilles Tendon Rupture

I know rebounding box jumps are a big culprit but I sprained/strained mine doing high-rep double unders. Took ten weeks to fully heal. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this?

Re: Hardest WOD You've Ever Done

Kalsu. Got through 30 RXd then scaled to 115 then to 95. Had to sit out entire rounds just to rest. Think I was around 30 minutes but don't remember.

Also did Kalsu as a partner WOD. We were just...

Re: HSPU and dizziness

My case is very mild and doesn't require treatment. I pay attention when doing movements that can cause the condition. When I feel an onset I just stop whatever I'm doing. I'm fine after a couple...

Re: HSPU and dizziness

Could also be Vertigo. I have mild Vertigo and GHD sit-ups, HSPU always cause a reaction. However, I've never measured my blood pressure and don't know if it increased. As others mentioned, it's best...

Re: Masters RX weights

The master's scaling for weights usually doesn't start until the 50+. Each WOD in the 2012 listed the weight scaling for each master's division.

Also, I'm not sure you need to scale for masters. I...

Re: Nike Romaleos

I used them for the first time this morning. Sizing was same as my running shoe. I am very impressed with these shoes and think they are well worth the money.

Re: 2013 Pendlay Do-Wins - $65

Took a chance and bought a pair of 10.5 but they are too big. Wore them one time. Send a PM if you're interested in buying.

Re: Just confirming the popping of knees..

That is the big question for me. If it is just a snapping tendon, it that something to be concerned about?

I don't think mine is a partial tear as it's been going on for quite a while, causes no...

Re: Just confirming the popping of knees..

I have the same thing in my left knee. I've heard it is the tendon sliding back but I've also heard it could be fluid. In any case, am interested in hearing responses.

I would switch between heat and cold every day until it started feeling...
