Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you affiliate owners out there program a "rest day" into your affiliates week? If so, what do you usually do that day at the box? Do you get lots of members...

Thanks guys.

My time was 19.26 minutes so the time was not great, but is was a PR. I've since done the Angie again without any problems. I just wasn't ready to do 100 butterfly pull ups :)

Re: Extreme soreness, experienced athlete

Hi guys,

Thanks for your replies. Just to let you know... It was Rhabdo. Had to spend the night in the hospital. They hooked me up to an IV drip and pumped 9 liters of fluids through me. I had a CK...

Extreme soreness, experienced athlete

Hi guys,

I've been doing crossfit for about 4 years. I've did the WOD "Diane" on saturday. I set a new PR and felt awesome. No issues what so ever. A bit sore the day after, but nothing unusual. The...

Re: Problem with Open WOD 12.3

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the info. I am an affiliate owner in Norway. Should I make a film showing the problem and send it to crossfit? I tested the press overhead movement yesterday with and without the...

Re: Confusion on validating an open WOD...

Hi Tricia, thanks for your reply. When you say validate, does this mean another L1 certified instructor can judge, but we the affiliate owners have to witness them judging in order to validate?

Hi all,

Quick Q. My partner and I own and Affiliate in Norway. We have read the rules for validating athletes attempts at the open WODs. One thing we didn't understand: Can only WE, the affiliate...

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Yes, a great alternative. I can do thrusters with the bar behind the head no problem. With kettlebells or dumbbells or also fine. But I must be able to perform normal thrusters if I am to compete...

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Was pretty much the first place I looked quite some time ago. Tried just about all of the mobility exercises for a while. Didn't help. Made me veeeery frustrated!

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Yes 95# thrusters are agony, 45# thrusters are not much better. To date I have probably seen about 50 other individuals quickly be able to perform the thruster, but each time I notice they do not...

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Hi Andrew,

I'm suspecting that they way I am built isn't helping much. I do indeed have long forearms and short upper arms. I can achieve a very good rack position for the front squat and clean, but...

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Yes dumbbell thrusters are awesome but my box does not have dumbbells yet. Also, my goal is to compete so I figured I'd better get good at barbell thrusters!

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Well I do have very long forearms and quite short upper arms so I think this is definitely making thrusters tougher than they should be. I decided that I would try not to fall back on the "I've got...

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Hi,

Yes it seems this could be the problem. I see a lot of crossfiters who maintain a full, closed grip around the bar throughout the entire thruster and yet still manage to keep the bar racked on...

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Hi again,

So, I went and practiced... a lot. The problem is as I mentioned. In order for the bar to be over my palm I have to have the bare off of my shoulders, i.e. not racked. This gives me a very...

Re: Thruster Dilemma:confused:

Hi buddy, thanks for taking the time to answer. Yes, the problem occurs mainly as I reach the open hip, standing position just as you press into the overhead position. My wrists are so cocked back...

Re: What's your policy on "no shows" to WOD's?

Hi Sean. Our first box will be about 2500 sq ft. I am considering doing as you have done and just allow members to turn up. I'm guessing it will become quickly obvious if there is need to reserve...

What's your policy on "no shows" to WOD's?

Hi guys,

My affiliate will hopefully be opening in mid August this year. I am considering having a "restricted availability" WOD system I'm sure many of you are familiar with. By this I mean members...
