Re: Day job and Affiliate?

Depends how quickly you want to grow.

To hold yourself accountable, put EVERYTHING into it, including quitting your job.

If you are happy to pace yourself which I did for the first year then keep a...

Because if you tell them the price before you start the sale then they already have an objection before you can show them the massive value they will receive.

Firstly they came to you because they...

Re: Do you allow other trainers to become members of your box?

Step 1 - Get their clients to fill out a waiver

Step 2 - Add them to your list

Step 3 - Call them, speak to them about their goals, offer to put them on your mailing list.

Win win win

Re: Globo posting CrossFit as a class

I just can't understand how you can rationalise it. If you are not an affiliate you can not advertise crossfit classes. You can only say you are a crossfit certified trainer.

Re: Globo posting CrossFit as a class

I would SPECULATE that it isn't the main page WOD. In fact I would hazard a guess at it being a class simply using task and time based training (nothing wrong with that) but using the...

Re: Looking to affiliate and open a new box in Australia

Hi Scottie

Mate the best places to look are:

Iron Edge for most of the gear,
SMAI also.

As for matting, I just went with Gym & fitness because I can pick mats up locally. Otherwise find the...

Globo posting CrossFit as a class

Found a gym in our area posting CrossFit as a group class. I'm almost certain they aren't affiliated, and I would put money on the trainer not being certified.

I have emailed IPTheft but looks like...

Re: CrossFit - Reekbok Apparel...

Lynne, i hope this is the case, shipping is already high to AUS. Can't justify buying clothes for that much, when reebok was sold in K-mart over here for a fraction of the price.

I also liked the...

Re: how much experience before openning a box

No harm in affiliating now to be honest. If you are comfortable with your knowledge, then only your clients results will tell you.

in the beginning there is no need to start with a facility. I have...

Re: Level 1 Testing and Certification...extra $1000 every 5 years?

Re-certify every 5 years... I really don't see the problem with this. Re-testing over this time period is EXTREMELY generous.

As for credit points for other courses. You should be expanding your...

Re: Clients who think they can walk all over your rules

Absolutely.

I will gladly open a class to a small group of 4 or more people. I guess i didn't clarify what I meant. I'm not enforcing rules, but I cannot open a timeslot because one person wants...
