No no no, your numbers are very good. The higher the HDL the better, the lower the TG the better, LDL is NOT necessarily a problem

200 is a arbitrary figure picked by medicos who want to sell more...

While in some cases he preaches the low carb approach may be the correct approach, he also says it is not the best approach for everyone.

Self reported food intake.

This study was done on diabetics who were medicated, not healthy athletes.

Ketogenic diets lose quite a bit of water weight and likely some muscle.

No body fat...

hmm. maybe you should read further "The similar caloric deficit achieved in all diet groups"

ALL GROUPS ONLY LOST WEIGHT DUE TO CALORIE RESTRICTION.

Also, the "Low Carb" group was counseled to...

If you want to use an author as an expert and your source of your nutritional information I would like to point you to Michael Pollan. He is spot on in his take on what good nutrition is and faults...

Agreed and true.

Eat real food in moderation. Less to lose weight more to gain weight.

If you followed all the theories you would exclude:

Paleo

Grains
Dairy

Really? what study showed that exactly? Id like to see it.

I dont see a lot of evidence in any of these posts that shows eating excess calories makes you thin.

You are right. Anything like zone/paleo is calorie restriction in disguise if someone is losing weight.

The only people who lose weight restrict calories in some fashion. Or expend more energy...

So if you have 5 days a week you should be working out, do BJJ 5 days a week.
