Re: Family Man diet help!!
PNB is peanut butter? Looks pretty good to me; some might not like the peanut butter, milk, and hummus.
I sure hope your hamburger patty isn't 300 calories with 30g fat... Fats are ~9 kcal/gram, so...

Good resource on cleaning it, also that website is fantastic.
I haven't cooked much squid, but from my...

Re: HBBS or LBBS
HBBS is definitely more quad-dominant. It's higher up on the back, so your torso will by necessity be more vertical to keep the bar centered over mid foot. This prevents you from sending your butt...

Re: Heating PVC
I've heard submerging it in boiling water also works, might be easier to get hot water outside than your oven.

Re: Sushi on a Paleo diet?
To my knowledge there is no "binding agent" used to keep the rice together... But there is usually a mix of sugar and vinegar used as seasoning for the rice.
In my opinion, the benefits of eating...

Re: Med Ball Dimensions
According to Again Faster, Dynamax balls are 14" in diameter. For squats you could emulate this with a stack of books or build a box.
However, proper squat depth will vary based on physiology. The...

Re: muscle-ups
I don't think it's that uncommon. I can usually bust out sets of 3 strict/deadhang MUs for the duration of a workout, but around 7+ fresh. Kipping probably around 6 (I believe the last 30 MU WOD I...

Re: Squat Form
Yes.
Though if you're just following mainpage WODs or affiliate Metcons (i.e., not a "CFSB" type or pure strength program) it's probably far more important that you learn the Oly lifts, which they...

Re: Squat Form
The question was asked at my L1: "What about high vs. low-bar squats?"
Response (from trainers) was a nervous laugh followed by "We're not going to talk about that. For us, there's just 'The Squat.'...

Re: HPC form check!
+1 for side view or diagonal from the front. It does look like you're catching it too far forward, land with your whole foot instead of with your weight on your toes.

I wouldn't say he looks ignorant, but I would expect more out of someone with his reputation. The standards are simply higher for Louie.
Anyway, the first thing that got me (other than him not...

I agree with Brian, think it's supposed to be a muscle clean.
I hope Louie knows more about the Oly lifts than that video indicates...

Re: Paleo Brain
As a student, I find that I crave carbs after hard classes, lots of work, etc. The brain runs off glucose, so give it the fuel it needs, IMO. Usually a square of TJ's dark chocolate in the afternoon,...

Re: Paleo shopping at an Asian grocery
I love asian groceries for fruits and veggies, spices, and occaisionally meat/proteins. Usually they're a lot cheaper than the alternative, and have harder to find ingredients.
Oh, and tea.
