Re: Marc Pro

Thx I bought some of those but they don't fit with the wires that come with the unit. Ordered some of the other lead wires from Marc Pro in hopes that I can use those other pads. Again thanks for...

Marc Pro

Anyone know if there are alternatives to the Marc Pro electrodes? $8 for a set of 4 is out of control especially when they suggest you don't use them on multiple people

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
Annie's judge running down the stairs to tell her that she is carrying the wrong bag up the stairs is bullpies. Annie should have had to go all...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?

Not sure why you use Armstrong as an example. Every top cyclist at the time was on PED's and that is pretty well documented. So yes he was a lying scumbag but so were the guys he was competing...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?

Most people can't or aren't willing to put in the type of work to be great at something and this is where the accusations of cheating or steroids comes from. Maybe just maybe Rich just out works...

Re: Dolce diet

I'm not a Dolce fan but to say he pushes diuretics on his clients is misleading. He doesn't have normal everyday clients use diuretics, it's just fighters trying to make weight. And not all of his...

Re: Transgender Games Competitor?

Didn't he win the open a few years ago yet? The Open is a poor gauge of how someone will do at the Games.

Re: Transgender Games Competitor?

I just picked a top guy who has been consistent, but honestly while he has been consistent he is still far behind the top tier guys and I can't see him passing any of them.

Re: Transgender Games Competitor?

Take Dan Bailey as an example, top male competitor never going to win the games. Would people be ok if he went and had surgery and tried to compete as a female in 2 years? I highly doubt it.

Re: Running with Squats?

Of course adding squats during your running will get you in better shape. Its no different than doing a MetCon that has running in it. But the squats per se aren't helping your running, its the...

Re: Compression Shirt vs. Surf Shirt

They are made from two different types of materials. A rash guard definitely doesn't "breath" as well as a compression shirt. You will also see a noticeable difference in how the two types of...

Re: How thorough is the crossfit games drug testing? Surely some athletes are doping

I'm assuming that the steroids that would be used would be the ones that aid in recovery/endurance, so quick question. Would steroids that were used from June to March (assuming they cycle off a few...

Re: Storage Unit Gym

There was a box in HAwaii that was run out of a storage facility. A bunch of the N Shore surfers would train there. Don't think it is open anymore.

Re: Combining Bodybuilding and Crossfit

None of the games athletes do "pure" crossfit anyway. None of them are doing completely random stuff every work out. Each of their programs are well thought out and focus on things they want to...

Re: Paleo with Carb Back-Loading Principals

From what i've read, it also depends on your goals. If you are looking to get stronger then you backload the night before to make sure you have the glycogen stored for your workouts to get the most...

Re: Paleo with Carb Back-Loading Principals

Skipping breakfast is recommended but not necessary. I head in one of his podcasts that if you do eat breakfast make sure that you have zero carbs and you should be good. Keifer recommends waiting...

Re: Paleo with Carb Back-Loading Principals

Dan, I would think the overall grumpiness is due to the lack of carbs and your body switching over to using fat as an energy source. I know during my prep phase I hit that wall right around day 4...

Re: Paleo with Carb Back-Loading Principals

I weigh 185 and I don't go too overboard on the back loads and I feel great. I'm still able to lift heavy and I seem to look leaner than I did. I can't eat a huge amount of carbs for my backload...
