Too big for a barbell?

Hey all,

I've come across some small segment of the population, built like strongman competitors, who have difficulty setting a barbell across their shoulders for back squats. Any advice for...

Re: conditioning = sham by Rip

I thought this was the main thrust of the article, not that conditioning itself is a waste of time. After that, I stopped reading, because I already agree and don't need to be convinced.

Re: Fitness Goals: Conflicting or Concurrent?

Ask yourself some more questions. Why are these specific goals important to you? What purpose do you have in achieving these goals? Can you improve some of them at the same time? Will achieving...

Re: Pulse today was down from 98 to 42

Not at all, I also celebrate a low RHR. Makes me feel like I'm doing good work and making progress. Then when I have a low HR while exercising at something that normally would have pegged my heart...

Re: Just joined the Army and need help.

Yes, but there were a couple times that I wish I had done more pullups in the early days of the wars. Climbing over walls and stuff would have been a little easier. I could always hit the requisite...

Re: Dropping the deadlift?

I can certainly understand Dave Tate's point about training the first lift only through the full movement.

For the record, I'm not trying to tell anyone how to train, I was just curious if I was...

Re: WODs that include running

I can tell you from experience that if you're trying to do a 400m time trial, and your vision doesn't seem like it's going to go gray, and your arms and legs don't get heavy, and during the last 100m...

Re: Dropping the deadlift?
