For the pull-ups my plan is to do the same thing on the weighted reps day (+20% BW), and on the reps day I'll do 4x25 for 100 total. Once I fail the full pull-ups, I'll stand on something to decrease...

Right now I'm at 18 pull-ups and 72 push-ups. I'm going to try this program WFS (http://scoobysworkshop.com/zero-to-100-pushups-for-complete-beginners/#phase4) for a month or so and see what happens....

I can't say for sure but you could try. The first few weeks are by far the hardest. The session will feel tough and you'll be wondering if you'll be able to complete next week's. Then next week comes...

I concur.

If you felt that bad after a 10k, twice that distance is going to wreck you. 13 days is a taper period, not a training period.

Do they have a shorter distance event?
