Re: Any Crossfit owner in Australia here?

Paul, Rogue do have a distributor here as does Pendlay & a few others but it's still expensive with exchange rates & shipping costs.
Depending on size it may be worth considering buying in US &...

Re: Any Crossfit owner in Australia here?

Paul, I'd say you need to get your *** out here & check out places first. There's a vast difference in demographics, climate, cost etc in those two cities.

Re: Any Crossfit owner in Australia here?

Paul, you can't judge an area by activity on this forum. According to the map, there are around 450 affiliates in Australia, not many are on this forum making contributions.
Just putting a pin on...

Re: selling affiliation

You can't sell an affiliation, they are issued to individuals not corporations or businesses. The new person would need to apply for affiliation.

Re: Domain squatter problems

Laws may work differently in each country but here's how it goes here (Australia).
It's not illegal to register & own any domain name, but! Since CrossFit is a trademark it can't be used publicly...

Re: HELP! 13.1 and balancing job/fitness!

Your first Snatch set is at 75 so you get at least 100 for your score. Scaling isn't an option but the WOD's are designed so everyone gets a score. If you get through 40 Burpees, 30 Snatches &...

Re: Games / open / affiliates

Also done.
Yes I found some of the videos difficult to count.
I've done this type of assessment before & it's always hard looking at a small screen relatively close up. In some cases I just...

Re: Lifting platform finish

We also used two coats. It's the same stuff they use on basketball courts.
Ours are straight onto the floor in place of some stall mats so it also gets general use. On advice we only went with two...

Re: Affiliation steps

Use your home address. We worked outdoors for 6 months post affiliation so not everyone has a box to begin or they use another gym to train in. When you find a location post acceptance then change

Re: Now that Anthos is defeated let's take a look into this

Dane, I understand where you are coming from I share some concern. However I'm sticking with the Glassman philosophy of providing (or striving to) excellence & they will follow or find me. Check out...

Re: Getting Used to People Not Getting It.

Re: Now that Anthos is defeated let's take a look into this

I just want to jump in here with something I think Dane is really driving at and I know nothing about the SATS situation.

Dane is concerned about ROI but I think he's also talking about Brand...

Re: CrossFit sues Anthos/Bryan Kelly for Tortious Interference

Agreed Matthew.

Tom, I saw the post as just being informative as to what is happening in this saga & no more. A long while ago both Greg & any number of HQ staff asked us to just sit tight & do...

Re: Stop Anthos from Taking over CrossFit

Albert; near the end he says he will put the whole thing in trust & that's how they will prevent third parties taking over.

Re: Stop Anthos from Taking over CrossFit

Matt; you never stop needing a coach. Why does Usain Bolt need a coach?
No matter how good you think you are or how well you think you move, only at the point you do everything absolutely perfectly...

Re: Stop Anthos from Taking over CrossFit

It's pretty clear from the posts from affiliates & HQ staff that if Anthos gain some control & try to make changes then many will walk away & probably form some new alliance.
It's pretty difficult...

Yes, it's very good.
Most if not all of us went away at least with some thoughts on what they wanted to achieve & how to focus. Others actually had some "light bulb" moments & reset goals during the...
