Re: Beginner on a Boat--Help?

Are there a lot of Achilles tendon ruptures?

Been looking at different blogs and forums and I have started to see some folks negatively addressing Crossfit with excessive injuries. One of those is box jumps and achilles tendon injuries...

Re: Stop Anthos from Taking over CrossFit

I have some questions and opinions regarding this topic. Iím not an affiliate but have a vested interest as a client in this program. My ignorance in business matters is relatively high so if these...

Re: Combining a CrossFit Gym and Medical Clinic

Good morning,

I was curious how you planned to implement the practice of Family Medicine with Crossfit? This seems like it would be pretty challenging since a lot of your patients aren't going to...

Re: Riptoe and milk

Hey Donald,

I'm going to experiment here and switch to Wendler 5/3/1 on a 3 day approach with two metcons during the week and see how the gains go. I'm at a point now where I feel I can really...

Re: Riptoe and milk

Hey Stuart,

I was referring to the sentence which Glassman states "Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruits, little sugar, no starch"

I ate every kind of vegetable except for peas,...

Re: Riptoe and milk

Well I'm 48 started 6 foot even and look skinny. When started Crossfit in on a regular basis I was 208 lbs. I lost 28 lbs over the year eating solely the diet I listed above. I can't tell you my...

Re: Riptoe and milk

Well my strength is pretty poor. I started low and progressed upwards making an approximate 40 lbs gain for all lifts except OHP which was 30 lbs. But then again I started at a much lower weight....

Just curious if anyone who started Riptoe's program had a lot of unwanted weight gain?

I started Riptoe's PP 6 weeks ago and gained 14 lbs in a month! Looks like all around my belly too heh. I...

Re: SLAP & Rotator Cuff Tear...

Sorry to hear about your injury. I feel you pain as well. It's interesting that you talk about how you can do things and hurt other times. I had a similar issue after an injury in the marine corps in...

Re: Client with constantly dislocating shoulder

Just to throw in some debate here I would consider not training anyone with a chronic dislocation. At least with movements that will cause it to dislocate. This situation is a warning to you for a...

Re: Why do people dislike Cross Fit?

Hot topic... Personally I like the system but I've learned over the years that some things aren't for everyone. Some will climb the highest pedestal to preach it. Others just plain don't give a damn....

Re: Home-made Squat rack

Hey Claude, How solid is the base on those? If you were to push your bar into that rack would it tip?

I would, however, suggest extreme caution here. That client is not you and their medical history isn't enough to be able to tell on this board how bad the condition...

Re: Lawsuit brought against CF affiliate

I strongly agree with Gant. Lawsuits are serious stuff. You (meaning all business associated Crossfitters) should be very professional about this and not invite this kind of attention. It isn't...
