my buddy back in our x-country days was, in my opinion, a great bench presser. he weighed 159, was 5'10" and benched 365. same as my best deadlift. he was a 15:00 5k runner.i have no idea where...

whats cool about the people at xfit is they all try to help you..
as an athlete always looking at ways to improve, i visit a few other forums, always searching for that one bit of info or small...

neither are elite runs or lifts, but when i ran, i was 6' 145#. i ran a 4:19 mile and deadlifted 365.
now 20 years later i'm 6' 145# and cycle. never do heavy deads anymore.

can someone please help me find the link on kipping vs regular pullups. it was a few minute youtube seminar i think on the advantages on kipping where you use more muscles doing these..

6' 175... lets see, mark spitz was 5-10 pounds lighter than you. carl lewis was 3 inches taller, but the same weight. linford christie was 2 inches taller and 5 pounds...

the paleo way of eating says its the best way for athletes to eat.
then i read too many grains and carbs clog arteries. then i read these past years whole milk and whole eggs are bad as they clog...

been doing a ton of research on drinking whole milk and eating whole eggs.
(i drank skim for 40 years and ate egg whites the same...) from what i read, these two are bad for you. clogs the arteries...

as with any sport, the more you practice the specific movement, the better you'll be..
if your goal is to be overall fit at xfit, then your running will slowly come along with your overall...

a pointer for you?? most young runners dont do this , and thats "run" down the downhills. if they are not too steep, take advantage of them...
