Re: Deleting account

Threads in the bucket are cleaned up (i.e. deleted) periodically. If you're looking for something old there, it's probably gone . . . unless Google cache picked it up back when it was still there.

Re: Deleting account

Camille is correct, Derek. We can delete your account, but your posts (and your name as the author) will remain. Your hometown vanishes, though, so you can deny it in the future. Post here if you...

Re: Basement Gym In Progress Pictures!

Kurt will be taking a nice little 1-week break to contemplate life in our rather multinational world.

Steven Holm, please PM me. I'm trying to come up with a reason why you shouldn't, too.

Re: Economy?

Watching this one . . . please keep it a politics-free zone.

You want to talk about how your area, your affiliate, your life is holding up, great. You want to complain about administrations past...

Re: The biggest waste of time and space ever.

The guy's an architect and mechanical engineer, not a web designer (ok, he can hire that talent).

All the love and engineering has gone into the machine . . . it's monstrously overbuilt for home...

Re: The biggest waste of time and space ever.

Pretty much the same workout everytime, so that's a major drawback. Just a linear push-pull for the upper body, and a deep stepping action for the lower body. Although it's arguably a very...

Re: The biggest waste of time and space ever.

Actually, it's merely very, very expensive.

It's basically a push-pull isokinetic device. Please don't knock it unless you've actually used it (I have).

It provides a very long-range pull (from a...

Re: CrossFit Endurance forum? Please?

We actually had an "LEO/Military" forum here a long time ago. We eventually closed it for two (interrelated) reasons:

a) it got very little traffic . . . maybe 2 or 3 new threads a month
b)...

Re: CrossFit and the elliptical machine

30/30 or 60/60 can be a decent workout, but it probably depends on the machine. If the machine allows you to adjust both "tension" and angle, then 60/60 is good. It may take 5 or even 10 seconds to...

Re: Post Your Favorite Crossfit quotes

Don't have the exact quote from Coach, but in response to being asked if a trainee could do anything to build up their arms:

"Funny, I never get that question from guys who can do 20 or 25 pullups...

Re: link to log, brand names

Richard, the g-y-m-b-o-s-s interval timer is a nice piece of equipment, well worth recommending. Unfortunatlely, they have (or at least used to have) a *really* annoying marketing gimmick where if...

Re: Dave Wood Steps Down As Moderator

Thank you all for you kind words, and special thanks to Keith. I, too, remember the early days of CFNYC with fondness.

In possibly my last official act as a Moderator, I'm closing this thread...

Re: Don't believe in Paleo because...

Folks, get this back to Nutrition as a subject or it moves to "Stuff and Nonsense", and then gets closed.

Debating evolution vs. creationism is essentially religous in character, and the proponents...

Re: Hybrid Program Heavy Metcons

Very nice. 10 rounds in 22 minutes today; 155-pound cleans (my bw; wouldn't have gotten very many with 185). Nice workout; my thanks to Andy.

Ditto that. I ate there exactly once, and . . . eh, it's a diner. The food was edible. I usually stick to breakfast, no matter what time of day; it's hard to screw up an omelette.

Its main...

Re: Snowed in!!!

Re: what movies do YOu guys like

You will either love it or hate it, I guarantee.
