Re: Nike Free 3.0v2 Owners...

I had the same problem with my first pair. I got a pair of the cross-training type on ebayu; they have a strap across the ball of the foot. I haven't had a problem sliding side to side with this pair.

Re: Real Bumper Plates

I made it over to Fitness Factory in Aurora, (Illinois). I got two 25 Body Solids; colored were $1.40/lb, I think. Two 25s was around $75. They are fine for my purposes, so far. I wanted something...

Re: Real Bumper Plates

Thanks for the great feedback Brian. An earlier post informed me about Fitness Factory. I haven't had a chance to get over their yet, but I definitely will.

Re: Real Bumper Plates

Do you know if the Wright Plates are made in the USA? If so, I'll go with them. If not, I'll go with Rogue.

Real Bumper Plates

What are some brand names or websites for reasonably affordable, but real bumper plates? I don't want to buy a pair online and get a cheap rubber coating over a metal plate.

below 7% body fat

I am curious to know if it is dangerous/unhealthy to be below 7% body fat. I cannot find any research articles at the local University library.

High School wrestlers in some states have to...

Re: Big Toe

The first attempt at the tape job helped. I had less pain during the workout (live wrestling) and less soreness afterwards. Thanks

Re: Snatch standards?

I got the 225 number from one of the CF Journal articles. I am a newbie, so I am learning. I see now that a 180 clean and jerk for 15 is extremely advanced/world class. Also, as you may know, CF...

Snatch standards?

I read Greg Glassman stating that a 15 rep at 225 lb clean and jerk for a 200 pound athlete is a great standard to shoot for. I am 160 lbs and have set 180 for 15 reps as a goal. Are there similar...

Re: Big Toe

I don't think I have flat feet. I've done the "paper bag" test for foot type and It looked normal. I think it is from years of wrestling-the push off on let attacks comes mostly from the toes.

Big Toe

Has anyone found an effective way to tape the big toe joint at the ball of the foot (the first metatarsalphalangeal joint)? I have orthotic inserts, but the pain is getting worse not better.

Re: Rear shoulder pain and weakness

That makes sense. I was, many years ago, a wrestler. So, I've have degenerative disks c6-c8. I'll work on the external rotation, scap area, caveman posture, and lay off the dips for the time being. ...

Rear shoulder pain and weakness

I've experienced pain, especially when doing dips, in my Right-rear/posterior shoulder. No other exercises seem to bother it, just dips. Has anyone else experienced this and, perhaps, know what it is?
