Re: How did your "Murph" go?

I doubt a lot of the times I see posted...and mainly due to ROM standards and you see a lot of very questionable reps on push ups and depth on squats.

It's a CF workout I have done 4x. Once no...

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Agree 100%. I drove 8 hours...3 hotel nights, food, paying to get in, parking, etc...make the venue someplace decent and in an area of a city where I don't need a gun to walk around.

I did not...

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Attended the Atlantic Regionals in Atlanta to support an athlete from our gym. The field is definitely stacked and overall, the events were fun to watch except waiting for everyone to get off the...

Re: Lower back pain

Not a doc but have dealt with low back pain for a long time...have blown out discs as well.

Biggest advice, don't push it and assume it is muscular or a ligament or whatever. Take it easy...don't...

Re: Helen

Damn Vic. That is awesome...

Not a fast runner...I fade too much on the third rd (second rd not great either!)

Holding that pace is killer. I have also done Helen with the weighted vest. That was...

Re: Kipping Pullups

Clicked on this thread without even knowing I had posted to it over a year ago!

Follow up - all that strict and weighted strict work ended with golfer's elbow. Some legless rope climbs finished...

Re: Why the air bike?

Not sure but all I can say is the thing will crank up your cardio and blow up your legs if you push it hard. I have a love/hate relationship with it....

Re: Do you really need a perfect oly lifting form ?

Agree Helen, precisely what I was getting at. Thinking you are "good" and actually "being half way decent" at these lifts are two totally different things. Without mobility and technique, you are...

Re: Do you really need a perfect oly lifting form ?

My perspective...and this is coming from someone who had "less than good" form but strength and a good engine.

I could power clean more than I could squat clean. I could move loads fast when I...

Re: What do you think is your one weakest link?

That and being 46 and very rarely do I...

Re: Comment on clean "fail"

Agree you appear to have driven the bar plenty high enough to finish the lift. Also appears the bar path was close to your body as your shirt brushed upward from the bar.

I know folks are saying to...

Re: The L4/L5 bulging disc club

Glenn above makes a great point. Feeling good every day is the key.
