Used Rogue Barbells from the Games

I purchased a used barbell from last year's games and was hoping to do the same thing this year. I signed up for the email alert for when they become available, but I noticed they're not even on the...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?

Check Ryan Fisher's Instagram for more details related to his one year ban. He says he did inform the testing people of his whereabouts on that day, which happened to be the OC Throwdown where he was...

I'm selling this GHD so I can upgrade to a new one. I bought it used about 3 years ago and it's been a solid piece of equipment. The one pad with the cracks came like that when I bought it and has...

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

I think this is a difference of saying someone doesn't "deserve" to go to the games because they didn't place high enough at regionals, and saying someone isn't "fit" enough that year to deserve a...

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

No. These are completely unrelated. I was saying it's believable for someone to get a high score with knee raises but not be proficient with toes to bar. Clearly someone doing Fran Rx under 5...

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

^This. We have lots of people who can do knee raises all day but no TTB. The last 30% of the full movement is pretty tough for most people.

Granite Games

Does anyone know what the final workouts were for this competition? Looks like Fraser and Briggs took care of business, not at all unexpected.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Shouldn't she just go out there for the final two events, get last, and still place in the money? She walked off the turf after the HS walk so although she might be injured, she could at least...

Re: Pistol Squat holding a Barbell overhead

I think he's giving it a no rep because the off-leg comes behind the body as he stands up. Games standard is the off-leg must stay in front until the hips fully extend.

Re: Regionals Live Streams

Just finished final heat of the SE men's individual. Going into the final heat the heaviest snatch hit was 285. One of the strongest guys loaded up 285 for his final attempt and hit it easily - the...

Re: Crossfit in the Olympics - yes or no?

Also remember that "CrossFit" is the brand, and "fitness" is the sport, similar to "NBA" being the brand, and "basketball" being the sport. This is the reason your local competitions are not...

Re: Pretty glad I didn't sign up for the Open

I suppose your reasoning that the Open isn't for you makes sense; however, how do you think you'd feel if DU's showed up in WOD 4 or 5? I think most people expected the workouts to progressively get...

Re: Anyone know details on what happened to Kevin Ogar?

I re-watched the incident a few times. He definitely did not fall into any pile of weights, the barbell hit him and he laid on the ground. As far how safe the setup was, each guy has his own...

Re: Anyone know details on what happened to Kevin Ogar?

I was watching the live stream when it happened. Yes, it was during the 3RM touch-and-go snatch event, but it actually happened on his first snatch. He pulled under and it looked like his elbows...

Re: Inov-8 FastLift Testing for Again Faster

My second review here is much the same as my initial wear. I will not compare them to Pendlays or Romaleos because I do not feel they are meant to be used in the same way, so comparing them to a...

Re: Inov-8 FastLift Testing for Again Faster

I got my FastLifts in the mail yesterday. There was about a 5 day delay due to a UPS issue, not an AF issue - AF was prompt and really helpful with all my questions regarding the shipping.

As a...
