Re: Increasing / Decreasing weight of a Barbell

Honestly I wouldn't even worry about it. What's a couple lbs here and there? Daily normal physical variability is more than that, meaning how strong you feel or whatever.

Re: Sleds

honestly I would get one of the echo sleds that you drag. I have one of those and I use it a lot. It can pulled on any surface and you get more or less the same workout.

Never use the butcher. ...

Re: Sleds

I have a butcher and that thing is so loud I rarely use it. I would definitely go w/ the 2 rail design. Wish I would have.

Re: Stall mats dirty or not?

I have no problem with this on mine. I get them from a local farmers co-op.

Re: Best barbell for box use?

Yeah, while $400 does seems like a good price for a "high end" bar, from a pure "stats" point of view, the Wonder bar does seem like a really good value. That said, I'm sure it's possible to make...

Re: Best barbell for box use?

UPDATE:

We have the Wonder Bar from fringesport and it has been the go-to bar for most gym-goers. The combo of bearings, true 28 and a perfect knurl makes it very popular. We're gonna get more as...

Re: PSA - Be careful ordering from suppliers offering big discounts

our filter didn't allow me to read it. Sorry. Hoping for a source that confirms reddit.

Re: Best barbell for box use?

I agree about endcaps being a bigger deal than you think. Good ones are quiet and speak to quality.

Re: Best barbell for box use?

Thanks man, very helpful. Seriously. I've read most of your reviews so it's good to get your perspective as an affiliate owner rather. I dig the blog.

Best barbell for box use?

Haven't had a good box-use barbell thread in a while. My box is looking to pick up a bunch of new barbells and my honest thought at this point is to buy one of each and try a bunch. I think for the...

Re: 2-person Garage Gym

I'm not sure why everyone who has need for two doesn't do it the way I have done it. It's perfect if you mostly want to lift. I have an R3 that serves as an anchor to two 8by8 platforms. Here's is...

Re: Competition bumper durability

I have the MDUSA bumpers and I have a couple weights w/ lose inserts. I've had my bumpers a year or so. It doesn't bother me that much. I only use mine for me and my wife in the garage, not heavy...

Re: Reebok CrossFit Compete 6:14 shoe (the Froning Nano)

You can kevlar the heck out of the thing. The part of the shoe that breaks down is the rubber sole. I'm always amazed at how worn out my old shoes are whenever I put on new shoes. 5-6 months of...

Re: AF/Klokov stuff

Hookgrip did a test like that w/ eleiko and rogue bars. Search his youtube feed. My rogue bar spins comparably to that.

I really don't think you'll be disappointed w/ a Klokov bar. Such a good...

Re: Can you identify this bar?

We had some bars with end caps like that. They were old raw steel bars. The owner thought they were pendlay but they would be 6 years old or so. That black zinc looks to be in decent shape so I...

Re: MDUSA Soft Plyo Box Review

I see them on the videos use these for pulling blocks. What do you think of them for that purpose? Are they strong enough?

Re: MDUSA Soft Plyo Box Review

Almost pulled the trigger on one of these (and some wood jerk/pull boxes from Maverick) but I just don't have the space right now. Glad to see it works well.

Re: How small can I make my Crossfit gym?

4 8x8 platforms, each with an R3 or similar in between them would be a minimum 16 by 16. Then there's no room for storage, GHD, rower, etc. I would personally want 20 feet for width and >30 for...

Re: Looking to buy an Olympic BB

I paid that much for mine as well. Mine was slightly blemished (chrome on one of the collars). Picked it up locally from Todd in Tacoma, WA.
