Trying Oly shoes?

Hey guys, my lifts are getting heavier and I am contemplating some olympic lifting shoes. My problem is, I tried some on when I was at the games and honestly didn't feel a whole bunch of difference. Keeping in mind that I wasn't able to try them with weight. I have a hard time spending the money on them unless I know they will make a difference, I am college student so money isn't exactly flowing  . What I would really like to do is try them while I am actually lifting, but I feel like that will be pretty hard. Has anyone else had this dilemma? Currently I am using nano 2.0s and love them.

Thanks guys

Get them, they are worth the money. These are probably the cheapest route, but they get the job done. I used them for over a year and they never wore out.

2nded. These are really good starter oly shoes and should last you through a decent amount of weight and WOD's. I got a pair last spring and am using them and really like them. No the heel wedge isn't the highest nor the hardest among all the other options, but you'll be hard pressed to notice the difference unless you're squatting 400+. Look for coupon codes and you can get them for <$90. I used a 20% off coupon at CitySports.com to buy them.

you can look on eBay also for deals which occasionally pop up.

another inexpensive option are these:

with the free shipping/ returns I took a chance and have been pretty happy with them so far. Keep in mind, the description is wrong; theres no gel in these shoes.

I just ordered a pair of Reebok OLY from www.shopreebok.com with coupon code "20back" I found online for $119. With free shipping both ways I ordered 3 sizes. I will return what doesn't fit. (or all 3 if none of them fit) I hate to do it this way but I don't have time to make the trip to Rogue to try them on. I have no opinion if they are worth it or not, since this will be my first (3) pair. :D
