Rear shoulder pain and weakness
 
I've experienced pain, especially when doing dips, in my Right-rear/posterior shoulder. No other exercises seem to bother it, just dips. Has anyone else experienced this and, perhaps, know what it is?

Usually rear shoulder pain is because of stability issues.

If your posture is poor (hunched forward caveman styles) and you were a former working out your beach muscles guy without much if any backwork (or other ways of letting strength imbalances develop) then you usually will get posterior shoulder pain.

Do some external rotator cuff work, and scapular retraction (something like C2 rowing sprints or one arm DB rows) are good. Focus on proper posture. See if that helps.

Don't do any exercises that cause pain.

That makes sense. I was, many years ago, a wrestler. So, I've have degenerative disks c6-c8. I'll work on the external rotation, scap area, caveman posture, and lay off the dips for the time being.
