TRT experience

Anybody had any experience with this?

Ill share mine. I'm a 35 yo man. Fit and healthy. 6'3" 204 lbs. I was having a hard time with libido. Everything functions properly but I only desire sex once or twice a week, which makes my girlfriend feel undesirable.

I don't feel like my younger rambunctious self. I've never used steroids in my life. I realized several of my pals are on trt for the same reason. So , figuring there was no harm and checking my levels, I went to the Doc. He did a blood test and 4 days later, he called. My total test levels were 398. On a scale of 250-1000. And my free testosterone was 44 on a scale of 40-150. So I am in a normal range.

Well he believes that I could benefit from one series of shots (3) to boost my levels. So, I say what the hell... Maybe it's worth a try if it gives me more energy and better sex drive.

So I stop in to the office, and he talks to me about my concerns. I gave the green light, and next thing I know, his aging yet sprite assistant is comin at me with an unsheathed needle that looks like is designed for zoo animals.

I bend over, he smiles. And then I believe I felt the needle poke through my stomach. So I drove home, and now I'm wondering if I did the right thing for me.

Do I really need this? It's legal, but feels like its not....

I'm expecting any minute, to tear my house apart like a young Ben Afleck on an after school special

I say see how it makes you feel. You probably don't "need" it, but maybe you could benefit from the shots? If it gives you back a part of your life that you've missed, then I say go for it.

What compound is he giving you? Testosterone wouldn't be a series of 3 shots then done.

If it's sub q it's probably HCG to help jump start his own natural test production.

And definitely, if you feel better and are healthier why not take it? Low test leads to all kinds of issues, mood, performance, weight gain (fat). Doesn't make sense to feel guilty about being healthy.

The doc could also be giving him testosterone undeconate, which needs far fewer applications due to the ester length attached to the hormone.

No, he gave me depot testosterone IM. A 400mg shot. Pretty aggressive I think. He wants to do it every 2 weeks for 6 weeks

If you are at the low end of normal, it'll boost things for sure. So will Cabergoline + Viagra of course.

Have you researched side effects? Did you ask him about estradiol levels and what's going to happen to your body when, as a 35 y/o male, you start going through puberty again? And at one shot every two weeks your testosterone is going to rise and plummet - not good for hormones. Although I'm not sure about the half life of depot, those are some things to think about.

Then what? Re-evaluate? I ask because that's just about long enough to shut your natural test production down. Is he planning on taking you off after that, or just adjusting dosage?
P.S.. google aromatose inhibitor

ditto - if you make this decision to continue then you'll need to keep your estradiol monitored and in check.
