For those who can perform "Linda" as prescribed...
 
I salute you.

This is my first time doing "Linda", even though it is a modified version of "Linda", so I don't know if it can still be called the actual "Linda".

Because of the situation in the gym, and because I prefer doing dumbbell bench presses to barbell bench presses I did a modified version of "Linda". I omitted the cleans because I have never done them before and would like to practice them before incorporating them into "Linda". So I substituted in dumbbell thrusters.

bw 163

Dumbbell bench press: 70 lbs (each hand)
Dumbbell deadlift: 70 lbs (each hand)
Dumbbell thrusters: 45 lbs (each hand)

10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 reps

I lost track of the time because I felt like I was going to collapse at any moment. So for those who can do "Linda" as prescribed I salute you.

I can do it but good god, Linda with dumbells? Talk about making a hard workout harder ;). Try it with barbells...trust me, it only feels like agonizing hell for the first 30 minutes, then your body starts to shut down and it's not so bad...I didn't finish it the first time, it took me nealry an hour the second and then it dropped down to a mere 36 minutes of suckage by the third...keep at it because your friends won't believe you when you tell them what you did...

ya i got my linda down to 22 mins as rx'd. deffinately SUCKS! but i like this dumbell idea... def need heavier ones for the db deadlifts tho.. next linda ill try it ( ill tie a 30# to each 100# i got )

At Crossfit Santa Cruz they do a version of Linda with dumbells:

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Reps of:

Deadlifts with Dumbbells totaling BW
Bench with Dumbbells totaling 3/4 BW
Squat Cleans with Dumbbells totaling 1/2 BW

You can go faster because of the lighter weights, but you won't want too...
