500m Row Times

I posetd a PB for the 500m row this week and thought it would be interesting to start a thread as a leader board. (If there is already a thread on this sorry to double up.

I posted 1.17.4
Its recorded on you tube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MErC7fIyUoU

Look forward to hearing other results.

Also if you have time give the 30 second row a shot and see how many meters you can cover. Its a good little tester.

nice work! my pr was 1:43 last year. haven't hit the 500m row in awhile, but i've been doing some sets of 150m sprints at the end of workouts. i'll try to get a 500m row in sometime this week & post the results.

We do a lot of 30 secs and 250m sprints which I find are awesome.

Look forward to seeing your result.

Train hard.

Are you a competitive rower? If not, why not? That's within a few seconds of Rob Smith's world record for the 500m.

1:52 is my best time. But now I'm inspired to hit that **** harder. I like the 30 second sprint/ 150m sprint as a cashout.

i usually row 500m in about 1:55 for a warm up, never really tried to go all out for a better time. definitely going to put that on the list.

To the OP, that is a very fast time, congratulations.

My PR is 1:30.3. That was brutally difficult and I haven't tested it since January.

The worst rowing workout I've ever done was a 2K predictor where you row 6 500 meter pieces at all out effort. I was wrecked for hours afterward.

No not at the moment. I seconds at this end of the scale are long but I am thinking of pushing it harder and for sure Rob Smiths time is on my agenda.

Need to sort technique and train harder.

Note that this was the first time I have done 500m in over 6 months!!! Ouch

Its worth doing and to be honest it gets slightly addictive, I dont row it that often but have a desire to beat it so use my InnerFight training to get me ready to do so.

The good news is that it doesnt last for a long time.
