Olympic lifting coaches
Hello everybody, I was hoping that someone on here might be able to help shed some light. I am looking to get into purely olympic lifting and am trying to figure out how I locate a gym/trainer/coach to train me. I know that in crossfit we do oly lifts so finding the nearest crossfit box might be the first idea, but I want to train oly specific for a while and am trying to locate a person to teach me. I have tried google which oddly enough has been quite useless in my search and was wondering if anybody here had some "insider" ideas. Thanks for helping!

Re: Olympic lifting coaches
wfs is the first place I'd look. The first two entries on the California page are very well-respected in Oly circles.

Of course there's Coach Burgener if you're anywhere near his home.

What I'd be looking for is a place that has athletes actively competing in USAW meets and some sort of strong competitive track record. That'll help weed out some of the places.

I have attended his O-Clinic and it was great! Hope this helps.
