Crossover Symmetry to avoid shoulder surgery
I have not had an MRI but my doctor suspects a SLAP tear, no real idea to what severity, although he thinks it could improve or even heal with PT based on ROM and strength. My goal is to avoid surgery at all costs and I read lots of positive responses on Crossover Symmetry bands as way to possibly do this. If anyone has had a positive experience with these along with how they did it I would be very interested to hear.
My shoulder aches most of the time and haven't done any wods for 6 months now. It's brutally frustrating and hoping working on the bands several times a day will yield better results. Thanks!
Re: Crossover Symmetry to avoid shoulder surgery
My physio though I had a SLAP tear and I did 2 months of band exercises (no lifting) with little to no improvement - found out it was actually a posterior labrum tear combined with hypermobility causing my shoulder to disclocate when I did anything over head!
Better to get the MRI and confirm what your dealing with. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and I won’t be back lifting for over 12 months!
Good luck with it! Shoulders suck!!
