Elbow pain

Guys/gals

I have been suffering from discomfort when in full flexion in my right elbow. It doesn't really hurt when hand is flexed back towards my face, but rather when the hand is rotated so knuckles are facing forwards. Feel it when I pick up my son to.

It isn't the Bicep, but seems to the tendons right in the elbow. I don't do many of any curls, but empty bar high rep curls give some relief (blood into the area), but it returns.

Thoughts?

Richard

Re: Elbow pain

could be a biceps tendonitis as the biceps muscle has a tendon that attaches down into your forearm and gets pinched with flexion and supination as you are describing. Also a partial tear can do that but that is usually sudden onset of pain vs slow onset of worsening pain that does not go away and loosens up with exercise

Thanks

How would you suggest getting rid of the one that goes away with exercise but returns?

Probably a good idea to see someone if something is recurrent

#1, get the ArmAid product to treat it with self-myofascial release(works better than anything else out there) 3x per day for 2-3 weeks till it starts getting better.

#2 Stretch you forearm extensors, flexors, biceps, triceps, and lats out 2-3x a day. Make it a 5 minute routine with switching from one to the next.

#3 Straight hangs from a pullup bar or rings. Use your feet on the ground if you lack strength. I find this is extremely therapeutic for elbow issues both anterior and posterior.
